You are right, but didn't answer my question. I agree that is maybe the best formula to win one SB.
True about Manning, but he wasn't playing like a HOF QB last year. He was greatly diminished.
I take your point, but I can't think of a "dynasty" that was built around a great defence and average QB. Raiders or Dolphins maybe.

Yes you still need the QB, but my point is you need the team. When Eli had more Super Bowls than Peyton it wasn't because he was better than him, it was because the Giants had better teams than the Colts did. Tom Brady has 0 Super Bowls right now if he doesn't have great defenses backing him in those runs. People overvalue how much a QB means. And really it's line play, on both sides, that determines the best teams. When you can rush the passer and give your QB time, you've more or less got it made.

I think the big thing for the Chiefs is that they've kept Andy at a distance from player personnel positions. The Eagles' last few drafts under Andy were disastrous. Mind you it was Roseman who made all of the terrible big name FA signings.

The Raiders missed Osemele to be sure last night.
I did mention that a Kelce style tight end is the one piece I would expect the Raiders to be hunting for this offseason.
I think the Raiders offensive line and top two wideouts as well as their current stable or running backs is the superior group of players to what KC has. But the Chiefs group isn't terrible by any stretch. The emergence of Tyreek Hill as a viable option in the offence certainly gives the Chiefs a X factor type play maker.
Overall right now I think the Chiefs are a more experienced roster, and maybe a bit deeper. Talent wise I think the Raiders do have the edge, but they're still trying to figure things out.
I do think Andy Reid is a top 5 coach for sure. As Rube says, they've put him focusing more on coaching again, and that is what he seems to excel at. Him and Dorsey have worked well together with this roster.

That was a tough game to watch last night as it was there for the taking but as always seems to be the case Reid and his staff totally outcoach JDR and his staff. Carr obviously can't throw the ball so why would you have him attempt 41 passes especially when Murray is averaging almost 5 YPC against their defense? I would have put McGloin in there after the botched FG as that was two straight drives where it was evident Carr couldn't throw the ball like he normally does as it was all floaters and off target short passes. Anyone that watched last night's game now knows what I was talking about in regards to Raiders receivers dropping balls. Seth Roberts had five drops on his own for crying out loud. Not sure what it's going to take for these receivers to start holding on to balls but even Cooper and Crabs have been stinking it up of late. That deep ball to Cooper wide open apparently hit the camera wire which is why Cooper looked so awkward as it changed direction to straight down. Credit to the Chiefs for playing solid defense but the truth is that outside of a 7 minute stretch where they scored 21 points they didn't do a whole lot but it in typical Chiefs fashion it was enough to win.
As crushing as last night was it's nice to be talking about important Raiders games this deep into the season and 10-3 is nothing to get too down about as they have only lost to two teams after 13 games. Carr's finger better heal fast as they have a game in Denver in a couple of weeks and it's likely going to be cold there and if he still can't grip the ball in the cold I don't want him starting as that was just hard to watch.

I dont think Reid outcoached him at all, neither of them had a great game
Reid is a great coach on everyday but gameday, he showed it his entire career, so the team will always be well drilled and know what to do
but his play calling under pressure is seriously lacking and its why I think he has a ceiling in the playoffs of the 2nd round, maybe the 3rd if they get good matchups
Even yesterday alone he made 4 or 5 horrible decisions that could have cost them
the challenge on the Amari catch (the first down at the sideline not the almost fumble) was obviously not going to go his way, and so many of the play calls on their short 3rd downs were mind blowing

Snow totals in Green Bay today are expected to total between 6 and 10 inches today, per AccuWeather. Cornerback Richard Sherman said earlier this week that he's never played in the snow.

Field is covered up and they expect it to stop about 2:00 Green Bay time. Tarp comes off 90 minutes before the 3:25 start time. So they dont anticipate the snow being much of a factor on the field.
Aaron Rogers hasn't lost a home start in December in something like 8 years. I'm liking the Packers to win today.

Why couldn't the Titans review Delanie Walker stepping out? He clearly didn't step out on the replay.

Concept is that defensive players are to let up and not hit a guy after he's ruled out of bounds. Whereas if the player wasn't ruled out defenders can still lay a hit on a player.

No clue who Harry Douglas is but that cheap shot may have ended Chris Harris Jr's season.

Cardinals have turned the ball over 4 times in 20 minutes in the monsoon in Miami.
Game is taking forever due to 6 total turnover and lot of penalties

Broncos just went after him!!! Love It!!
Edit: I don't think the Broncos are done yet. That was a dirty play by Harry Douglas.

And only Talib gets a penalty? Sure why not. At least Harris seems ok.

RGIII's current line: 2/10, 20 yards, INT. Might end up being one of the worst rookie of the year winners ever in terms of how his career ended up.

Whichever team makes the playoffs on behalf of the NFC North is going to get smacked in the mouth.
