Mario Balotelli was entitled to a bonus payment of £1 million from Liverpool if he was not sent off on three occasions each season for violent conduct, according to a report in The Times.
Sources told ESPN FC before the deal that Liverpool wanted to insert a behaviour clause into Balotelli's contract upon signing him.
Meanwhile, the Times also reports that Balotelli was in line to earn £50,000-a-goal once he surpassed the total of five in the Premier League or Champions League each season. However, in his first season he only managed two in European competition and one in the league.

Hahaha, why in the world does a team "lacking intensity" as Bilic says want to add Fellaini?

It's a few days late, but I thought that this was still funny:
A Liverpool fan walks into a travel agents and says, "I'm looking for a small break away in England for the Christmas period, but I don't know where to go?" The travel agent says, "You can't beat Bournemouth this time of year."

Why did Theresa May ask Mauricio Pochettino to lead Brexit negotiations?
He managed to get Spurs out of Europe in just two months.

City's defense is shambolic, but the good news for them with 70 minutes left is Leicester's defense might be the one in the Premier League that is worse.

I'll enjoy this until Fellaini comes on in the 85th and does his thing.

Not a great first half from Spurs. They didn't create a lot and it could've been 2-0 pretty easily I would say.

costly win. Mkhitaryan stretchered off ... just when he started to find his place and play great football.

Lol at Mourinho putting Fellaini on in the 96th. I was rooting for an own goal on like a 50 yard backwards pass. So still early but looks like Chelsea and Arsenal are the top two title contenders, Liverpool remains a bit of an unknown, and City, Spurs and United will be fighting for CL spots.

Mourinho says the Mkhitaryan injury isn't too bad and they hope to have him back for Boxing Day. Good news.
Herrera was a beast today once again. Uniteds best player this season and not even close IMO.

Maybe over the season, but today Mkitaryan looked solid I thought. His goal was a good run and strike and overall he just looked good.
I have no idea how Wanyama missed that opportunity, but then again Pogba with his free kick was maybe a few inches off from a great goal. Just a disappointing day for Spurs.

So far pretty typical Liverpool stuff, they take the early lead, lots of possession and then gift a goal back to make it level again.
Not to take anything away from the Payet free kick, it was excellent, you wonder if Karius could have had that but even then thats asking a lot.
What kind of grinds my gears is Clattenburg places the ball and then turns his back to pace out the wall and behind his back Payet moves the ball up a few yards. What the hell Clattenburg? Mark it off with that fancy foam spray you dolt.
It was so obvious even the commentators mentioned it.

the truth is that Karius isn't that good. Should have bought Timo Horn.
West Ham very lucky, Liverpool could have had a penalty here. Going to be a very interesting 2nd half, Liverpool have to win this.
