Wasn't his choice. Apparently Viola wanted Gallant fired and Rowe behind the bench. It's entirely on ownership meddling in things they don't understand.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't have much love for the Panthers right now. Questionable roster moves in the off-season, and then horrible management reconfiguration that took knowledgable hockey people out of the equation. They deserve what they get out of all this. Fans are probably not coming out to many games this year with all this crap.
