			Hey,
I recall a pretty popular Lost thread a while ago and thought I'd rekindle it.

Show last night was definitely pretty wierd. I liked finally seeing the rock-guy's bio, explains a whole lot about his personality. I really wish they'd bring the creature around a little more often so I could get some idea of what the hell was going on.

Also, any speculation as to who hit buddy in the head w/ the wood to prevent the signal triangulation? My guess is Locke... obviously. He seems to be the only one, so far, to have a lot to gain by staying (being able to walk).

I taped it last night and still haven't had a chance to watch it. I might tonight, I will get back to you then.
Its one hell of a show though. Pretty darn weird so its right up my alley.

I hear ya man. There's definitely a major twist every episode.
It's almost too twisty at this point. There are way more unknowns than there are knowns, and so many things being hinted at its crazy.

Maybe it was the french woman on the recording?
They showed locke carving up supper, so i don't think it was him.

I finally seen the first episode where the killed the polar bear, did they ever figure out it they got there, or the impact of having them on the island?

Well, they showed Lock carving dinner when Rocker guy went to get his help for the cave-in. But I think Lock didn't go with him, but sent him back and stayed by himself (though I'm not sure) which would give Locke the lack of aliby(sp) meaning he could've done the beaning. That said, I think its too obvious that it was him (imo) so it won't be.

Crazy that buddy got hit just as he was picking up full reception.

I personally love the show. My biggest complaint (and its a minor one) is that the back-stories seem a little forced when they happen every week.

I am agree that it could be Locke that hit Said but I think that if he did it he did so not as a selfish reason so he can walk but because he wants everyone to experience the "specialness" of the island. He talked to Charlie about it and Jack as well.
If they were rescued he could just stay on the island. He seems to like it and seems to be fairly well equiped to survive.

A friend of mine dated Evangeline Lilly when she lived in Abbotsford BC. I think her real name was Nicole, she later changed it when she found god (whatever that meant) She is also the girl in the LifeMates(or some telephone ad). That was airing in the summer.

Besides it being to obvious I don't think Locke even know about their plan. He was out hunting the entire time and seemed to be in his own little world.

Another great episode though.

I hope they are done with this soon. How many more main characters are left, that haven't been done? The last 3 or 4 episodes have been pretty slow in plot development, so I hope this picks up next week.

I think we'll see the back stories the whole first season. Tons of people still left to do:
Said
The Father and kid (name escapes me)
The brother and sister
The jerk
The fat guy
The pregnant girl (who was not in this eppy at all)

There's probably others as well, those are just off the top of my head.

Amazing that I don't know many of the character's names. Doesn't seem to matter.

Oh I'm sure ABC is just saving the big monster's return for "Sweeps Week".

The monster is the reason Locke hit Said; so he wouldn't go looking for the signal and find an old plane wreck. Remember it was Locke who came face to face with the "monster", so he knows what it is, and probably doesn't want everyone else to g3et freaked out or something.

Just my speculation.

Some speculation on my part, so if you want to debate what you think is happening in this show read down

They're all already dead, and they have to solve thier issues to move on

or its a battle for souls. Locke seems to be the jesus figure as he came off of the cross (wheelchair) and was resurected. the guy that steals stuff is the devil, and people are going to start going over to his side soon. Thats the only reason why I figured Locke helped that guy kick his drug addiction without really helping him

I figure that one of the main players was on the island before the plane crashed.

The monster will never be seen, it would ruin the show if it was.

There is a french genetics lab on the island (Leave it too the french), they were combining specis (explains the polar bear), the animals escaped, and what you have is a hybred of the worst, and there are more of them out there deeper in the island.

 End speculation

Captain, I was thinking something along the same lines, where the people are all in purgatory or something like that. Except I don't think there are any supernatural people. I think the monster is really something like the hand of god, taking people off of the island and bringing them to heaven, or something along those lines, and Locke saw it, but doesn't want everyone to know about it. Maybe, just my two cents.

So when Dr. Jack gave the black woman CPR, she'd already gone to Heavan and he pulled her back down to purgatory?

Forgot about that part, which episode was it in? Maybe it wasn't her time, or Jack is just a jerk.

I believe they are all dead as well. During all the flashbacks, they all seem to have some sort of a secret, or something that they need to resolve. One knock against this theory is that it just seems to obvious, all signs so far are pointing to a purgatory. I'd be a little dissapointed if that were the case.
