I'm sorry to say he was equally awful against both L & R. Revere was so bad that the only kind of contract I'd want the Jays to offer would be a minor league deal with invite to spring training... he was really really bad.
The guy I want most is Fowler, after that Bautista (with the understanding that he'll be playing LF/1B).

What kinda reason is that lol...he got punched in the face so he needs to move on?

I didn't say it was a good reason! I'm just talking for me. Nothing against the guy but, for me personally, I'd be happy to see him move on and get a fresh start.

Because he said he didn't want to negotiate. He gave them a number and it was do or die.
He should have taken some offers back and not be so hard to deal with. Biting him in the butt now.

@ShiDavidi
#BlueJays sign lefty Brett Oberholtzer to minor-lg deal, compete for possible swingman role or be starter depth

Well I'm glad someone who doesn't get hurt feelings from a player's perspective isn't running this team.
On Oberholtzer - decent enough swing man out of the pen. I like that he is a lefty.

Man, that Ian Desmond to the Rockies signing is insane and makes little to no sense.
First, they give up the 11th. Second, Desmond was trash after the all star break.
It sounds like, barring trade, they plan on playing him at 1st base which is insane.
If not, it could open up a guy like CarGo or Blackmon for trade!

Revere suffered an injury on opening day IIRC, then never got it together. Prior to that his worst season in the majors saw him hit .267. It's not hard to think that perhaps that injury lingered or caused him to change his swing. But Revere also hit .319 with the Jays in the regular season after being acquired, so it's also not hard to think that with our hitting coach being familiar with him that they could get his swing back to where it was.

Unless there's a surprise entrant, slugger Edwin Encarnacion's finalists appear to be the #BlueJays and #Indians .

Come on Eddie choose Toronto! You're our guy! You always have been! You love it there. Then we sign Fowler and trade Pillar to the Rangers for some bullpen help and boom 2017 Jays WS Champs.

Yeah, but he doesn't get on base well even when he hit's 300... he's a no power hacker. I could live with that if he had Pillar like Defense but he doesn't have Pillar like defense.
He's the kind of guy I want in my back pocket (in this case Buffalo) not on my opening day roster.

Long overdue for them. I wonder where they send Abreu, Quintana and Melky? And really they're buying the farm.

I just don't see it for TO. Not with a gapping hole in the outfield and 1B/DH more or less already covered with Pearce/Smoak/Morales. Sounds more like an agent trying to squeeze some extra $$ out of Cleveland.

what if the Flames went out and got Kessler or Bieksa.
While he is certainly a good player, fans might not really want to make a trade for Rougned Odor - especially if he was 35 years old and on the end of his career.

And conflicting reports now on EE
Quote:
Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said that the chances of re-signing Edwin Encarnacion are looking dim.
"If there's a way [to bring him back], I don't see it. I don't think [Encarnacion's agent Paul Kinzer] sees it either but we haven't stopped trying," Atkins said. The Indians and Rangers are two teams linked to Encarnacion, though USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported earlier on Wednesday that the Rangers may not have the money to bring him into the fold. The veteran slugger looks unlikely to sign with a team before the end of the Winter Meetings. Toronto is moving forward with recent additions Kendrys Morales and Steve Pearce.
