icon57 Flames at WJC. UPD: Dube, Fox, Parsons, Kylington, Karnaukhov make WJC teams.

instead of multiple threads maybe one would do.

Dube named to Canada's selection camp. 29 man roster expected to be 22 before tournament starts
http://www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/Tea...ers?teamid=128

Kylington offically named to Sweden's camp. 26 man roster only 3 cuts before the tournament starts
http://www.hockeysverige.se/2016/12/...pen-infor-jvm/

Karnaukhov named to Russia's prelim roster
http://fhr.ru/main/news/card/?id_4=12752

Tuulola NOT named to Finland's prelim roster

As expected, Parsons and Fox make the USA prelim roster:

http://teamusa.usahockey.com/page/sh...?referrer_id=#

27 players. 4 will be cut to make it 23

IIRC USA takes 3 goalies so Parsons will be at the tournament barring injury.

Assuming they take 13 forwards and 7 d-men (which they typically do), Fox needs to survive 1 d-man cut

For those curious about the NHL Draft breakdowns for each country (scouting reports available in the URLS when you click the player name):

Canada:
Nolan Patrick - F

Finland:
Eetu Tolvanen - F
Kristian Vesalainen - F
Robin Salo - D
Urho Vaakanainen - D
Juuso Välimäki - D

Sweden:
Elias Pettersson - F
Lias Andersson - F

United States:
Jake Oettinger - G

Russia announced their roster, which didn't have a first-time NHL Draft eligible on it, but word is Klim Kostin could eventually be added if he puts together a strong showing at the World Junior A Challenge from Dec. 10-17.

Hockey Canada announces Nolan Patrick will miss the WJC due to injury. No replacement per Hockey Canada.

TSN previews the camp:

http://www.tsn.ca/hockey-canada/vide...source=twitter

McKenzie's locks to make the team (starts around 10:00 min mark)

Jost-Strome-Gauthier
Dubois-Barzal-Stephens

Chabot-Juulsen

In his mind players that would have to play their way off the team at camp (i.e. front runners):

on D:
Bean
one of Myers/Fabbro

on F:
Roy (C)
Joseph(RW)
Cirelli(C)

Fighting for jobs:
Goalies are wide open.

He has Dube and Wagner as the only two LW fighting for the last two LW spots, however he notes that Centers Steel, McLeod, and Howden are going be tried out on LW. So those are Dube's competition to make the team according to McKenzie

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Likely lines tonite for Team CAN vs. U-Sport:
Dube-Strome-Raddysh
Howden-Stephens-Senyshyn
Wagner-McLeod-Merkley
Steel-Barzal-Gauthier

U-Sport is a collection of CIS players from nearby universities.

Game is streaming live here:
http://www.tsn.ca/tv#/TSN1

Canada has gone with dark red jerseys with black numbers.. almost impossible to tell who is who.

edit: Dube is #9 if you can pick him out.

Interested to hear how Dubois does. Columbus' roster looking pretty deadly already, he could be a real nice add for next season for them.

Dube picked up a secondary assist in a 5-3 win.

Wasn't really paying a lot of attention to the game, but when I was and able to pick out Dube, he didn't look like he meshed well with his linemates.

Sam Steel looked dynamic.

Dube seemed okay today. He definitely belongs in the camp (and maybe even on the team) but when you look at the list of invitees it certainly seems like he'll have to stand out significantly to get on ahead of the 19 year olds and returners.

He should have an excellent chance at making the team next year..
