A Dutch mayor has raised eyebrows by backing the idea of sending prostitutes to accompany Dutch troops on foreign missions.

I could see the Canadian army tripling in size if they thought the same way.

Its kinda a funky tradition that goes back to the Roman times, where there would be rolling brothels that accompanied armies, so that the troops could gain some relief from the stresses of the battlefield. the French and the English did it to some extent but not so formally in WWII. The American's were satisfied with whatever they could find in country, which is why the cases of VD's were so high in the Vietnam war.
