Monahan's body language looks much more active, head keeping track of the play and around him.

The ice has looked awful tonight. The puck is on a damn trampoline.

Tkachuk is so reliable.

Looks like there could be a neutral zone turnover there and he sticks to his man like glue.

Someone needs to cave Eric Staal's face in not that you could tell the difference.

He's already so composed and defensively aware; can't believe he's still a teenager.

Boring period, and a very tight checking game. Neither team taking many chances. Flames doing a great job protecting the lead though, and they're playing well defensively. A couple of scoring chances for the Flames, but no finish.

Morgan Reilly sounds like Vince Vaughn.

In Scottsdale (not poolside) trying to find some way to stream this game. Hotel bar not showing game.

Watching Hamilton, really believe he is going to be a top tier D in the NHL.

Kadri hit Sedin and took Sedin out for a few games. The hit was a topic at the GM meetings a month ago.

Versteeg and Monahan are becoming a pretty decent "pair" for the top line. Read off each other quite well. Makes me pretty giddy at the thought of Gaudreau coming back to play with them and having all three guys rolling.

However, it does seem that Versteeg plays best on the left side. Hopefully switching wings again won't be an issue.

The game devolved into all kinds of shenanigans as a result.

Actually, Kadri hit Hansen and then hit Sedin on the same shift. Just before the Sedin hit, Sedin scored a goal to make the game TOR 5:VAN 3. Sedin was out for a few shifts (probably concussion-spotter). Hansen finished the game but is now out for 4-6 weeks (rib injury).

After Sedin scored but was lying on the ice from the Kadri hit; Hansen engaged Kadri in a fight. Not sure if it was the Kadri hit or the fight that caused the rib injury.

Gudbranson make some kind of a loud death threat against Toronto after the game as they were heading back to the dressing room - apparently heard by many.

EDIT: Sorry, Kadri wasn't the one who hit Hansen initially.
