What a travesty that he played here.

See, and this guy won me over. He changed his style of play. I appreciated his skill level as well.

I didn't mind Bert either. Sure he had a shady past. But he has some sweet hands and sick shootout moves.

2. Anders Eriksson Singlehandedly lost us the series vs the Sharks and yet somehow Keenan felt the need to feed him more icetime.
3. Steve Staois A dirty stinking oiler. Waste of a draft pick for him.
4. Philippe Sauve The only saving grace was how Sutter shipped him out of town after he crapped the bed in his lone game. Loved Sutter for that move.
5. Leland Irving Easily the worst rebound control of any goalie I've seen live. The puck would hit him and fly up 20 ft in the air every game. Multiple times.

Philippe Sauve played eight games, not just one. Also, his trade was one of the worst in recent memory -- he was traded with the super underrated Steve Reinprecht to Phoenix for useless Mike Leclerc and three-gamer Brian Boucher.
Also, Staios will forever hold a place in my heart for that goal he scored against Edmonton late in the third. Will never forget that, I was so happy.

He was a cheap shot artist who had a successful career for the Canucks. Unforgivable.

Rene Corbet? I know he was part of the return for Fleury, but otherwise a good guy (and he's stuck around in Calgary).

At this point Slava said it best:

1) Gary Leeman. By a wide margin my least favourite Flame ever.
2) Brian Marchment
3) Jonas Bergqvist (played a handful of games in 1989-90, but irritated me to no end)
4) Todd Bertuzzi
5) Mike Leclerc

He was the main piece coming back in the Fleury deal and he was supposed to be a guy who developed into a top 6 talent but he was a bust. It is the same reason I hate Leeman, we gave up a franchise player to receive a polished turd back for him. He might have stuck around in Calgary and he might be the nicest guy ever, but he did nothing for the Flames on the ice.
