How about a Hitchcock/Yeo type situation? Hire Gallant as an assistant now knowing that he'll be HC next year and if Gulutzan has a problem with it, Gallant can be head coach right now #barelyawakerightnow.

To add to the positivity I have to admit I am way
More happy with our goaltending this year! Elliot not quite at Chad level of composed but as a tandem I still feel night and day better with those two over our pairings last year. If the offence starts to come this could be a heck of a fun finish to the year.

I don't know if you are. I am saying it's fine for Gio to work on defensive position. It doesn't mean less goals. It doesn't mean he isn't working on offence too.
