That's the nice thing about this back to back, can bounce back quickly.

I mean it's a bit lofty to expect 5-1 on the longest road trip of the season. They've done admirably so far, all things considered. I think the 'two steps back' part has only happened once this season, with the 5 games losing skid after the 4 or so really solid games. They haven't had an extended skid since then. Bounced back a couple of times. So I'd say it's overall better. A lot depends on the rest of tonight and tomorrow's game, though.

I thought I hated Bork.

Lots of non-NHL calibre stuff with this team right now.
Seriously, do you even know what non-NHL calibre means? Really dumb comment to be honest.

I would consider our special teams non-NHL calibre, yes.

Unless you mean that any team playing in the NHL is NHL calibre in every aspect. I don't agree with that though.

They should partner him with Engelland on defense.

Outside of Frolik, Gaudreau, Tkachuk, and maybe Backlund, this team just doesn't have enough finish. You're not gonna get many wins in the NHL if you can't score more than 2 goals per game and your PP is 30th in the league.

But your comment was "this team is not an nhl calibre team"

We haven't even had a PP this game.

You just sound like you're back tracking from a stupid comment. How about we just keep stupid comments to a minimum.

They're having a bad game, whatever, move on. Some are saying the effort is bad, but I don't agree. They haven't been effective but they're trying

Monahan though - as usual, he doesn't have his legs. I'm wondering if there's a conditioning issue stemming from the injury

When Wideman is good he can get you a couple PP points and might have 1 or 2 defensive gaffes. When Wideman is bad he makes constant mistakes that will end up with the puck in your net. When Wideman plays at all, the refs have a blind eye to infractions by the opposing team. The 3rd reason alone makes me glad he won't be on the team next year.

I'm not making these judgments based on just one game

The Flames haven't had problems scoring goals for more than 5 years. Where is this flames can't score coming from? Sure some guys recently are having problems scoring but it's not the offence that's the problem.

this season offence has definitely been a problem, just not as much of a problem as keeping the puck out of our own net.

Flames have been in the top half of the league in goals for the past few years. Let's not make things up just cause they're playing games close to the vest lately.
