Default November 27, five games.

Good morning everyone, 2 morning games then the Oilers prior to the Grey Cup. Go Stampeders! There will be 2 games going on while the Flames are playing. Have plenty of beer and snacks ready, this should be fun. http://sportsstats.cbc.ca/news/NHL-P...ate=11-27-2016

Hometown hockey is early today because of the Grey Cup. This is part 2 of the home/away series.

11:00 AM Predators at Jets---I wonder what Maurice will say after the game this time and it's part 2 of this home/away series.

11:00 AM Lightning at Bruins---the Bruins don't have a great record on home ice.

4:00 PM Panthers at Hurricanes---the Jagr watch continues and both teams played last night.

Preds/Jets game has been fantastic. Fast, physical, some nastiness, and Hellebuyck might steal this one

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I see it, and how much I hate the Leafs, that Bill Barilko story always gets me.

CBC ran a pretty good piece about it on the first intermission of the Oilers game. I'm sure it'll be available online. Hockey fan nerds (that means you!) should watch it.

I was talking to an Oiler fan friend of mine (he usually has good hockey ideas, even for just a normal hockey fan, for an Oiler fan he's like Einstein), and he's convinced that Russell is a top 4 d-man and is worth re-signing long term. I can understand how he (and most Oiler fans, judging by HF) seems to like Russell, he's a warrior and he's good in transition, but a top 4 d-man he is not. I imagine they're just so used to seeing Oiler defenses of the last 10 years that an NHL caliber guy seems to be a legitimate top 4 option for them.

He's better than a bottom pairing defensemen in the NHL, even if you ideally want him there. He's just hard to judge because he gives up size but has a lot of intangibles. He's just not a great mid pairing guy, and not worth 4+M...

Russell is a rare breed of defensemen that ideally fits into a 2.5 pairing. He will be perfect on the third pairing of the first NHL team to roll eight defensemen in a game.

After the loss to ARI, the Oilers now 3-6-1 in their last 10.

That's incredible. Makes our struggles with the Honda Center look like child's play.

This Coyotes win also catapults them ahead of the Canucks in the West by virtue of their game-in-hand.

28 years since an NHL team has had that long a winless streak against another team.

Craig Anderson, what an inspiration. The stress he is going through with his wife having cancer and he continues to play very well in goal for the Senators. Ottawa wins 2-0 in MSG with Anderson stopping all 33 shots.
