Mackinnon has been such a let down. So many tools and such a small toolbox. There is no way with his speed and skill should he be this average. He should be one of the best players in the game.

Remenda whining that a clean hit to a team's superstar leads to a fight.

I'm willing to bet if McDavid got crushed there instead, he would be applauding whichever Oiler went after the Avalanche hitter.

Both calls were awfully weak, too. That has to hurt.

NHL officials seem to have a soft spot for the Oilers this year. It seems to be a rarity for the Oilers to have to kill more penalties than their opposition.

The Canucks take over in the second period by scoring three goals and Mike Smith gets pulled after forty minutes. Vancouver wins 4-1 with Bo Horvat getting three points.

The Blackhawks-Sharks game was terrific to watch as it was a goaltender's dual, Crawford vs. Jones. The shots were 35-34 in favour of the Sharks as San Jose hangs on for the 2-1 regulation win.

The Kings were hanging on to a 1-0 lead since the first period. The Islanders finally scored early in the third period, 1-1 now with less than four minutes left in regulation time.

Toews left the game after just a couple of short shifts in the 2nd...no update as to why.

Pretty crappy results on the OOT tonight. Flames just can't catch a break. We're still ahead of the Canucks though, so that's something.

They have done it ever since McDavid played in the penticton tournament

Virtanen hit him clean and all their beat writers we're calling for their goons to jump him in the regular season

Not too fussed. I'm focussed on the Flames improving, which they are IMO.
