Male and female politicians get this stuff. Sandra is playing the 'female victim' card to try and justify a move that was a slap in the face to her riding. No Sandra it is not because your a woman. Any politician who pisses people off will get this kind of backlash. It's part of being a public figure. Bloody victim complex.

I propose a new reality show where Trolls have to read their mean tweets to their targets, mothers and sisters, face-to-face.
Here is an example of a Troll having to face his victim:

And then gradually, he changed. He enrolled in graduate school. He found a new relationship. He started teaching little kids. He had a purpose. Slowly, his interest in trolling dried up.

Its also a knee-jerk reaction from her riding. She betrayed them and she did it with little to no warning and then just did it.
They're rightfully pissed off.
If anything women should be pissed off that shes pointing the finger for this outrage at misogyny to deflect blame.
If anyone is being sexist its her, shes using 'being a woman' to weasel out of taking responsibility for her actions. That would piss off most women I know.

Kenney tried to somehow equate this to the abuse Jansen was takes on line. It was...strange.

Sandra Jansen has now been provided a security detail by AB Justice (Executive Protection Unit).

She could probably cool this thing off and show that she actually has some integrity if she stepped down and called a by-election.
Instead she's making Notley look like a raging hypocrite and inviting a lot of anger at her that she's exploiting to justify her questionable move.

Or she could just sit as an independent, and run as an NDP candidate in the next election. If she had just done this instead of crossing the floor, she probably would have avoided a lot of the attacks and criticism IMO.

The thing is, every MLA does take it. It is the nature of twitter and why having any sort of discourse on it is useless. Facebook is just as god damn useless. The best thing for society would be to get rid of these soap boxes that gives any random idiot a soap box to preach their extremism. This includes the neo-nazis, the extreme religious nutbars, the Che Guevera loving commies, and anyone else out there who is a minor fragment of the population who are bat#### insane.

Jansen is such a hypocrite
Alberta's anti-bully minister Sandra Jansen takes shot at PC ship-jumper Len Webber
Quote:
“If Len had such a problem with what he perceived as bullying, he should perhaps reconsider his decision to step into federal politics — maybe he should go back to being an electrician,” Associate Minister of Family and Community Safety Sandra Jansen said of Calgary-Foothills MLA.
Thursday, Webber accused Premier Alison Redford of being a bully, and “really not a nice lady,” announcing he would abandon his PC cohorts and cross the floor to sit as an independent.
|
Quote:
“It’s unbelievable. She’s there to try to prevent bullying from occurring and here she is acting as one,” Webber told the Sun Friday evening.
“I think it’s shameful that she would belittle a tradesmen profession … in a province where (trades) are in such demand.”

Sandra is really coming across badly and is going to be a boat anchor on a already sinking, stinking and hypocritical NDP party.
I tend to think that the cabinet position that she was promised to cross the floor won't materialize and she'll be completely buried in the back bench.

Is Stephen Carter still advising her? He always struck me as a really smart guy who knew how to play to the electorate. Ever since joining the NDP I don't see any signs of his input here.

Jason Kenney appears to be facing a few issues tonight, coming off the heels of his recent campaigning fine:
Number 1:
http://daveberta.ca/2016/11/jason-ke...nske-complaint
"The complaint launched by Jacquie Fenske, who served as the MLA for Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville from 2012 to 2015, alleges that an email sent from Mr. Kenney’s campaign misused the name of a prominent community member who is not supporting his campaign. The individual’s name was included in a list of pro-Kenney candidates standing in that constituency’s Delegate Selection Meeting on Nov. 17, 2016 in Bruderheim".
From the complaint: "I believe that what the campaign did was unethical and most likely illegal".

@jkenney I'm not a @PC_Alberta member, so you got my info from @CPC_HQ. I thought you gave up access to those resources when you resigned? https://t.co/273T5Ph7ce

Jansen should have talked to Danielle Smith before she crossed.

It's the hypocrisy of her words. She belittles Webber for leaving the party and yet does the same thing. Maybe she should go back to broadcasting.
