Solid period by the Flames so far. Protecting the lead really well.

Ferland has our last 2 PP goals. Time to KEEP HIM ON THE PP.

Nothing said on this forum has any bearing on what's happening in the game but if you're saying SO just to rile some people up, you're a troll, a useless filthy troll.

Our 4th line is fantastic.
Reminds me of when we had that Nystrom-Sjostrom-Prust(rom) line that looked amazing.

Bennett has absolutely no awareness of his linemates. None.
One shift he had Chaisson streaking for a breakaway, and then Stajan alone infront.
Definition of puckhog.

You mean when he then tried passing it to Chiasson?
Given his linemates, I like the idea of Bennett holding onto the puck more often than not.

I have to say, seeing Johnson's winning record behind last year's Buffalo Sabres stuck out as more impressive to me than Elliott's last season with the luxury of St. Louis' defence corps and system.
What a diamond in the rough the hometown kid is.
Not sure Elliott had starter numbers behind a team not named the Blues. Those may have been telling stats.

I think he'll figure it out but overall this seems to be a common problem with a lot of the high end players coming out of junior.
Hallsy, Drouin, McDavid, and many others all overplay the puck and don't use their line-mates well.
My hypothesis would be that in junior hockey they develop bad habits where they CAN beat everyone on the ice on their own.

I think he's clearly earned the #1 spot right now. The guy is just so calm back there. I haven't been this confident in a Flames goalie since Kipper.
