"Vegas Knights" would have sufficed. Simple and a relevant play on words. I wonder if much like the Ducks, this will eventually condense officially into just that. I like the logo and shoulder patches.

The London Knights hold a tradmark on that name, and Vegas was not willing to meet the Hunter's demands for permission to use it.
So, of course, they instead went with pretty much the dumbest thing they could. Though the "Golden Knights" part is less stupid than dropping half of the city's name from the team's moniker. And that logo is the kind of thing a beer league hockey team wears. But the NHL has been lacking a pitifully bad cartoony logo since Anaheim dropped their Disney look.

This is so bush league. If Las Vegas Golden Knights was too long (and I do tend to agree with that), they should have just went with Nevada Golden Knights. Or maybe come up with something less lame than Golden Knights.

People love to complain. Has there ever been a jersey/name/logo unveiling that people didn't bitch about?
The name is fine. You'll get over it after one week of hockey just like "Wild", "Lightning", "Avalanche". At least you can be a Golden Knight. You can't be a "Wild". You know that in a few years they'll drop the "Golden" part just like the Ducks dropped the "Mighty". Just need to figure out the London Knights issue. Fans are going to chant "Go Knights Go" and will call them the "Knights" too.
And the logo is sick. I'd say it's easily one of the best in the league already.

Like all the ones hated before they just grow on you and before long you cant imagine them with any other name.
