I don't remember where, but I think I read somewhere that Duclair can be had for the right price.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure "not going anywhere" is just what Arizona fans says about everything.
False hope is sometimes as important as real hope.

This is one of those situations where you would take him for the right price.
Problem is out of the 28 other teams, most of them would make more sense in addressing Arizona's needs. No need to overbid, for a player that doesn't even make that much sense for the Flames.

The team has an abundance of LW's right now so I don't see the Flames being overly interested about paying a high price. If he was a RW I could see Treliving sniffing around but that's not the case.

I think the Coyotes are sort of in the reverse situation as the Flames. They only have 1 good defenseman and a a bunch of good forwards, so it makes sense that we're seeing guys like Strome and Duclair's names in trade rumours.

While this is often the case, Alex Tanguay comes to mind as a player who maintained a very high shooting % over a long career and is not a superstar.

Chychrun looks to be the steal of the draft and DeAngelo looks really good since coming up. Honestly they have a better future on the back end than the flames

They do?
Brodie and Hamilton aren't exactly old farts last time I checked, to say nothing of our prospects at all.

It's true - he is a number 1. But I don't think we have enough evidence that the rest of their young D is enough to make their future brighter.

C'mon man! You proposed trading Wotherspoon for Rychel just 2 weeks ago, and said you didn't realize that he had passed through waivers without being claimed.

Laughable because you said he wasn't going anywhere even though someone with actual sources said he was in play?
And I hate to break it to you but 3 point Duclair isn't as valuable as you think he is. His limited success last season was because of Domi. No thanks unless you want Shinkaruk or Poirier and maybe a third rounder. It'll be nothing but a plug for plug deal.

Would you expect fair offers at a Flames website? Let's not forget that Duclair isn't exactly a can't miss prospect. Had a nice first season but it's not like the league is going to trip over themselves on their way to Phoenix with bags of gold. Coyotes would be better off keeping him because they probably won't get the return they are hoping for.
