Rodgers had the greatest run of QB play ever between 2011 and 2014. The numbers are staggering really, tons of TDs, few turnovers and an extremely high completion percentage. And the results for the Packers reflect that, they were a threat every year pretty much 100% because of Rodgers. Obviously he couldn't keep that level up, but yeah it's been kinda clear he isn't 100% dialed in anymore like he was in that stretch. Even though he's not my QB I watched in amazement that stretch, so hopefully he can find it again just as a fan of the game.

Nice job Chiefs. 5 straight losses to Tampa Bay. Denver I'd going to destroy them next week too. Brad Childress ducks.

Not now, loss today is pretty critical. Definitely puts the playoffs in jeopardy, whereas a win would have had them positioned for the Division.

Seahawks would have the division pretty much locked up if that tie was a win, but it's still looking like they'll probably be the #2 seed at worse. Dolphins are looking like they'll be a factor in the wildcard race.

Before that TD, Aaron Rodgers went three and out on the first three drives in a game for the first time in his entire NFL career.

The Packers secondary likely couldn't stop a few College offences right now. I think a loss tonight pretty much takes the Pack out of the Wild Card race.

To that point...

The Packers have now allowed 11 TDs on throws of 15 or more yards downfield, tied with the Browns for the most in the NFL. Last year, they allowed only six TDs on such throws all year, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Am I the only one that can only take Collinsworth in small doses? The guy never seems to shut up and overreacts. He's like the NFL Glen Healey. Smart guy, but less is more.

The 32 yard PAT's have become a nightmare for kickers as it's already cost a few kickers their jobs. I can see missing the odd single point but some kickers have missed several and IMO that's unacceptable when it's your only responsibility and very makeable by football standards.

Sounds like Rogers girlfriend might be a Svengali. Crazy that he doesn't talk to his family anymore. Bizarre story.

the funny thing is that before the PAT was moved back, kickers made <40 yard FGs like they were nothing. and last year when it was moved back they only missed 8 all year.

It seems to me we're about to go into the most fascinating QB offseason in NFL history. Just taking a look at things you have....
NE: Likely to trade Garoppolo as he will probably fetch a 1st round pick
NYJ: Total mess. Likely to look for vet acquisition
CLE: The Browns
CIN: With Lewis almost certainly gone, worth wondering if Dalton doesn't follow him out the door
BAL: Would no doubt love to get out of Flacco's deal. Will someone oblige?
HOU: A SB contender with a good QB. Unfortunately they have Brock, but I imagine they'll cut bait if they can get a real QB.
JAX: I'd be done with Bortles myself, but we'll see. Could be a buy low trade candidate
KC: Like Houston, a legit SB contender with a QB upgrade.
SD: Rivers is old and other teams are desperate. I'd be looking to move him if I were them
DEN: Romo apparently is hoping to end up here. Could see them go the vet QB route since they are a win now team for at least another season or two
CHI: Obviously dumping Cutler in a trade is a dream. I think this is the year they cut him even with the cap ramifications
MIN: I don't think Bradford has done enough to get rid of Bridgewater, but of course very tough injury to come back from. If Teddy is healthy to start next year, one of them will be traded
NO: Same as SD. With a desperate QB market, Brees could fetch a huge return. Saints are probably a few years away so might make some sense
SF: Chip Kelly
AZ: Carson Palmer has obviously reached the end of the line. Another built to win now team so likely to chase a vet QB.

Is it any different than any other season though? We are seeing that teams with a 20-25 million dollar QB can have depth issues, and struggle to compete no matter how good Brees, Luck, or Rogers are.
On the flip side, the Tyrod Taylor, and Fitzpatrick price range veteran isn't getting those teams that extra level of play to get to the playoffs.
There is a range in between where the team can make the playoffs, but ultimately can't seem to push past a certain ceiling like the Chiefs and Alex Smith.
The price for QB's is always resetting and with the current guys like Russel Wilson and Andrew Luck now making bigger money, it's a matter of teams being able to manage around that to get the rest of their rosters in place.
I think we'll see more teams try to go young if they don't have the elite guy and try to squeeze the mid tier market down. The guys like Smith, Cutler, Flacco who are all starter level guys, but don't drive elite level offences. Teams need to get those guys down to the Taylor type cap number.
