7-12-1.

This year they're 8-11-1.

Well that's somewhat positive I guess. Baby steps.

Way to go Backs!
Backlund has a history of putting up big goals vs Detroit at the Joe. He seems to like playing there.

The whole give and go with Frolik starting with his fake out going into the zone was beautiful.

I think the team was expecting more progress than one more win at the 20 game mark. They have been playing better of late and it's a matter of consistency as the team is playing better defensively but it's at the expense of some offense as the top line continues to have troubles. Fortunately the division has never been worse so if any year you can maybe overcome a poor start this could be the season.

Not a whole lot of praise on Hamilton. Great game.

He is going to be an amazing D.

Patience. He is 23.

I like that the Flames have to figure out how to score by committee without Gaudreau while he's down. And then once the rest of the team (hopefully) figures it out, they'll get him back for the back half of the season and the stretch drive. No leaning on star players for the time being, I think it's good for the team.

Really liked the game overall. That second Mantha goal was an absolute snipe. Monahan can't let Mantha, who only has one thing going for him in his shot get all day to set up.

Otherwise thought the Flames played an excellent road game. On to Buffalo!

Thrilled to see Hathaway get a goal. I thought he should have been the first call-up of the year. I was really happy with his camp.

Good ATL. Red Wings have had two straight decades of playoffs. Gonna be honest, I don't sympathize with their fans or team one bit.

Always feels good to beat the Wings. Solid win. Johnson is awesome.

That is all.
