took a look at the Canadian teams.
The Oilers have 8 since 1979: Eberle, Gagner, Cogliano, Hemsky, Smyth, Fuhr, Coffey, Lowe
The Canadiens have 9 since 1972: Price, Koivu, Svoboda, Corson, Mondou, Risebrough, Tremblay, Gainey, Shutt
The Canucks have 9 since 1972: Kesler, Sedin, Sedin, Ohlund, Linden, Sandlak, Lanz, Ververgaert, Lever
The Senators have 7 since 1992: Karlsson, Spezza, Volchenkov, Hossa, Phillips, Bonk, Yashin
The Leafs have 5 since 1972: Antropov, Clark, Iafrate, Anderson, McDonald
soooo ... the Flames at least tie the Leafs tonight, but in comparison to the other Canadian teams, the Flames record isn't so pretty. Note though that many of the Habs and Canucks players were drafted in the 70s and that the Flames haven't had a top 3 pick since 1973 ... the other Canadian teams have had plenty of those.
