Did they credit that goal to Hossa? If they did, his stick was well above the crossbar and should have been called back. Then Hossa was laying on the goalie, it should have been called back. All in all, crappy goal to end a pretty good game.

We shoulda won that game (or at least got a point) but there's a whole lot of positives we take away here.

No shame in that loss.

What a ####ty way to end what was IMO a pretty good effort.
Yep. Brodie should have boxed Hossa out from getting into the crease, or even just gloved the puck away instead of trying to make a miracle save with his stick.

I don't understand why if you challenge and the call stands why you don't simply just lose the challenge. Done.

If you only get one challenge in the first place it's not like you can just frivolously challenge all game long.

Tough loss. Thought the flames played well and one of the best games by Monahan all year. Bennett looked good on his wing

If you challenge and win, you can challenge again later.

The system is actually starting to look better and they look like a cohesive 5 man unit for big stretches 5 on 5.

However player usage continues to be a head scratcher, particularly the over utilization of Wideman and under utilization of Hamilton along with the PP personnel.

It's to prevent frivolous challenges, but you can only make a frivolous challenge once before you no longer can. It doesn't make any sense why they are linked.

What a weak 3rd goal to give up. Absolute back breaker.

And Wideman should've prevented the original shot and Brodie should've gloved the puck away. But Wideman has poor gap control, Johnson loses the rebound, and Brodie tried to be too fancy.

#### ups all around there

Refs just need to get the friggin call right on the ice.

This game just highlights how badly the Flames have screwed themselves and why we are already out of it. Nothing to be mad about with tonight's game, they played well, didn't get the breaks against a good team. Oh well move on. Except they litterally can't afford this loss or any like it. It's sucks that did just start slow, but were a disaster out the gate. You can see that if the Flames did no show the first 15 games of the year, they'd have fought for a spot.

Will be interesting to see how the Flames rebound after this tough loss.

You don't get just one challenge tho. If you keep winning challeges you can do it all game long. You only lose the right to challege if you lose one or no time out.

If you challege 10 times a game and win all ten times you can challege for an 11th time of you still habe your timeout.

Can someone explain to me what the rules are? It looked like one of those two high sticks for sure touched the puck. Might have been ours, but not sure. That's still an automatic review right, regardless of challenges and crap? It seemed they should have at least spent a minute or 2 looking at that part of the play? Or did we just confuse them with the challenge we couldn't do? And WTH, why didn't our coach know he was losing our challenge by calling a timeout? I'm sort of ok with him calling the timeout knowing he couldn't challenge later, but if he doesn't even know the rules and didn't know he burned his challenge, then we suck!

Yea, as much as it sucks to lose on a stupid goal like that, the Flames' PP certainly isn't helping. It looked much better tonight than usual, but eventually they need to start converting. They're playing much better as a team lately, and that's awesome. But unless their special teams start to look a little more special, the chances of them turning the season around are pretty slim.

Sorry, no.

That goal is all on Johnson, Wideman and Bodie did their jobs just fine
