Love how Brouwer plays, I could see those two clicking. Also, unpopular opinion, but I don't mind Bennett on the wing
I agree. Long term, I think he ends up a winger.

Despite being down a goal, that was a pretty solid period by the Flames. Keep that up and they should be alright.

Pretty solid period for the Flames actually. Should have scored.

I really like Hathaway, if he could find the scoresheet once in a while he'd be a keeper

Jankowskis looking good if he can become a second line centre like were hoping Bennett can move to the wing

A completely different team with a steady goaltender in net. A lot more confidence when your goalie doesn't let in that deflating softie. PP looks really good despite not scoring yet.

I still think it's the ice quality in Calgary. Pucks bounce there more than any other arena...and I watch games in South Florida.

Yet, if the Flames practice on this ice all the time, wouldn't they be used to the crappy quality and adapt to it? Seems like they should be able to handle the puck better than this.

Definitely. I thought the PP looked great, pretty much did everything but score. Crawford is getting a shutout though, so there's that. SHUTOUT.

Bennett isn't as good on the wing as people are thinking. But Monahan is the single best linemate he has had all season, by a country mile. Or at least since the few games with Tkachuk.

I hate how our defense just lofts point shots this year. I wish we could combine Hartley's offensive zone philosophy with Gulutzan's defensive and neutral zone philosophies.

Monahans best period of hockey so far this season IMO.

Not like it was awesome or anything, but better than bad.

Haha, just love how Sportsnet makes them sit on stools, then you look behind and Flames TV are at desks.

yup. But to be fair, when you sit next to Eric Francis, you immediately look and sound like an expert in anything.
