One of my fondest memories as a kid was going to a buffet restaurant with my family and my cousin's (I wanna say it was called Buffers). It was in that strip mall across from Lester B Pearson High School and Village Square Leisure Centre in the NE.

The kids would spend the day at the Leisure Centre and we'd always work up a big appetite so the parents would take everyone out for buffet.

My cousin ate so much Jello, he puked and it came out of his nose.

It's not a Golden Corral style, but INTI in the NE is Peruvian buffet and is very good. Small selection but extremely fresh and authentic if you want to do something different.
Thanks for reminding of INTI! My wife and I ate here 4+ years ago but we haven't gone back now that we have kids. The food there is pretty tasty -- they specialize in rotisserie chicken but I recall their ceviche being great as well. The food there is probably too spicy for little ones though.

That place is awesome! I just ate there on the weekend, relatives had a baptism and booked the whole place for lunch. It was only a limited buffet, but everything I tried I liked. I'll definitely be going back.

I was there last week. I greatly enjoyed it. The Fusion part is the combination of Japanese and Thai menu. However truth be told, the Thai food was kind of disappointing. Also for the all you can eat menu, there was no sashimi. Only various kinds of rolls.

Still delicious and worth the trip. But if you expecting sashimi to be a part of the all you can eat menu, you won't find it (I didn't even bother to look if it was part of the paid dish menu).

Ordering with the tablet is pretty cool though. You just punch in your order and then hit submit. The server doesn't even have to interact with you until they bring the food.

It's a good thing I don't live in the US because I'd probably weigh about 500 pounds. Golden Corral, Old Country Buffet, even Chuckarama (which we discovered travelling through Utah and Idaho) -- yup, those 'Muricans know how to eat.

Unfortunately, you won't find anything similar in Calgary anymore; we used to go to the Fabled Table on 32nd Ave NE in junior high; I vaguely remember something in Village Square Mall and will defer to me_dennis that it actually existed.

We grew up just down the street from the Village Square Lesuire Centre and I remember going to that buffet in the strip mall. I was one of those kids that pigged out on the Jello because we didn't have junk food in our house.

I liked the buffet across from London Drugs better. They had an awesome ice cream bar. I loved the ice cream and sprinkles, caramel and other toppings.

Oh man, do I remember that place. 1993, Our first mortgage for a house in Abbydale, working for $14 an hour, a toddler and another on the way.
We thought we were rich.
