Sounds like BB is drinking the kool-aid that GG brought to the picnic.

Sounds like Boudreau thinks Hartley is still the coach. That is something very true about the last couple of seasons for the Flames. IIRC, Darryl Sutter said something along the same lines, and even added that Calgary scares him as they can score at any time. This year's Flames have been neutered.
I was going to be optimistic about tonight's game, thinking that "even bad teams get a win, and the Flames aren't a bad team, but just a horribly under-performing one."
With the D pairings and even the forward line combos, I don't know what to think. I was all for Brodie getting some 'development' on the left side about 10 games ago, but this is the wrong time to try and force players out of their natural position. It is uncomfortable enough losing so much - everyone must be holding their sticks more tightly and second-guessing themselves with a lack of confidence. To make them constantly adjust to different positions and line mates on top of this?
If Bennett is going to play wing (which I don't agree with), then he needs to be put on the top line. He would at least give that line some forechecking capability, and his skill level is definitely high enough to work well with Gaudreau and Monahan. At least put him with Backlund and Frolik so that he can see where a center should go defensively.
My thoughts on what the first step of fixing what is wrong with the Flames? Someone needs to sneak into the coach's office and steal that lotto ball machine. I am sure every player's number goes into that thing and as the balls pop out, that is how the lines and pairings are set.
Win or lose, make this interesting. That is all I ask. Score some goals, hit some Wild jerseys out there on the ice, and make me say "ooh" and 'ahhh' a few times on the offensive and defensive ends, and I will be happy enough for now.
