Djokovic should just retire if he's not gonna give a **** anymore.
I don't know what the hell happened to him. He used to be one of the most determined players on tour but lately it seems like he does not even care if he wins or loses.
Embarassing.

Not a great Saturday in Paris - Milos withdraws with injury, and neither Vasek nor Nestor makes the doubles final.

Years of grinding at a high level take its toll mentally just as much as it does physically.
He's got a young family too. Priorities change. I don't think we are seeing the beginning of the end but we are probably seeing the beginning of a beatable Djokovic now....which ultimately will be good for the sport and players like Milos knocking on the door.

Great timing for Roanic as he enters his prime. Also means my window to be world #1 is now... Better get on it. Where can I buy a racket?

Andy Murray as world #1 is just so much more interesting than Novak at #1. Novak is just a machine when dialed in. Andy Murray is incapable of dialing it in for more than a couple tournaments at a time, and is always prone to big meltdowns (see: 2016 US Open). That said I still think Novak wins a minimum of 2 majors next year. He's still way too good and the field still hasn't caught up to him, he's come back to them. And he still beats most of them with ease.

Milos is going to give it the ole college try in London...
Raonic practiced on Thursday at The O2 Arena in London and showed no signs of the injury.
The Thornhill, Ont., native withdraw from the Paris Masters last week ahead of his semifinal match against Andy Murray due to a tear in his right thigh. He suffered the injury in his quarterfinal win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Great news! He's in a group where, if healthy, he should be able to go 2-1 with relative ease. That would be some seriously valuable ranking points and all but guarantee a 4 seed heading into Melbourne next year.

He really has. With so much focus on Milos, Genie, the juniors et al., he fell through the cracks a little bit, but how great to see him doing so well.
2016 has been a career year for Steven Diez, too.

Next up for Milos is Joker, obviously he doesn't have a great record against Novak, but there's no better time to record a victory.

Andy Murray takes care of Marin Cilic (6-3 6-2). The match did last 90 minutes though, so it was likely a lot closer than the score indicates.

Anyone else notice how Stan Wawrinka has been really off his game for the last little while?
For instance, during the Basel indoor tournament 3 weeks ago he struggled to beat Marco Chudinelli (ranked 117), then basically only got past Donald Young (ranked 89) by the skin of his teeth before losing to Mischa Zverev in the next round.

that actually just sounds like regular Stan, always been a guy with middling/disappointing results for most of the year, but then goes Super Saiyan occasionally during a slam.
the ATP needs more of his big stage fearlessness, it adds drama and storylines while we await the coming of the new Chosen One (whoever that is).
