How did they not go for the four yards over the nearly impossible 61 yard field goal? Man, I'm no coach, but if you're weighing the risks, you go for that four yards. 61 is just far too long.

Pretty crazy that we have one of the best teams in league history and we now have to play the BC Lions as our first playoff game. How can a league so consistently be strong in the West and absolute fodder in the East?

No kidding. Should be hosting Ottawa with basically a free pass to the big game but instead the much less accomplished Eskimoes get that match up. Good ole CFL

If we do make it through though, I agree with jammies, what an incredible Grey Cup match up the Esks and Stamps would make.

seriously - Nichols to Dressler or hand it to Harris - better to go down with those boys than try a 61 yarder. I thought Nichols deserved better than that after lifting the Bombers out of the basement this season.
I'm interested to know who made that call - OShea or LaPolice. I'm guessing the former.
Happy to stuff the Lions next weekend anyways though. go stamps.
Angus Reid talks about why we need high school football. I'd encourage you all to take a few minutes and listen to him. It truly is a one of a kind sport
so far looks like Ottawa is going to try and win this one in the air despite the weather. no surprise there i suppose, but not the best strategy. the conditions heavily favour the Reilly - White show
Quite the inclement weather in Ottawa. Thank Jebus we didn't get that here. No 93/94/96/13 situations please
Only supposed to get worse as the day progresses. I'm really looking forward to trying to get home in this stuff... Of course, it's probably better that I'm taking transit instead of driving.

End of Q1 in Ottawa. Edm defence is MIA so far - no pressure on Burris - giving up the short passes - and giving Ottawa opportunities to run the ball. Snow is heavy but so far seems to be affecting Edm more than Ottawa.
