Can't see this going any longer without some sort of shakeup. Season is pretty much lost barring an incredible winning streak.

Maybe after the 20 game mark, they'll consider something.

Arizona, Calgary and Vancouver are fighting it out for the bottom of the league.

I'm starting to wonder about the top 3 draft choices in 2017.

1. Nolan Patrick - 6'3" 200 lb C/RW
3. Klim Kostin - 6'3" 185 lb C/RW
5. Owen Tippett - 6'2" 200 lb RW
8. Kristian Vesalainen - 6'3" 203 lb LW/RW (shoots left though)

All are good options if the Flames continue to struggle. Starting to pencil Tippett into the lineup for next year...

First time posting all year. I've had it. What the actual ####?

Positives:
Stajan is all heart.
Fourth line guys were playing like they want to stay in the show. Hey, they're young, not perfect, at least they're giving their all. Same goes for Kulak.
Frolik and Backs, credit for hard work.

Negatives (too many to count but here's a few imo):
Chaisson is hot garbage. How is this guy in the NHL let alone the top line!?
Monny.
Gaudreau complaining about literally everything. It's embarrassing.
Sure Ferland scored, but where was he for the rest of the game? Honestly, I thought he was a scratch.
Turnovers. Like jesus ####.
Only chances we get are when someone breaks a stick on the other team.
Gio, like hit the net ffs.
So many other things I am so drunk and upset I can't keep going on my phone's keyboard.

Did anyone else hear the crowd booing after our no chance, no shot PP? Maybe that was all me inside my head lol.

I think Treliving and Burke have a big play in what the coach is trying to play on the ice, which, if you look at the dramatic swing between the fast pace of play is management dictating play instead of developing a "system" or even a "process" that plays to the strengths of each player. Bob was very good at posting people in a useful position which garnered success and then confidence.

The coach randomly banishing players and then not even using them when they return is whacky.

The loss of interest of ACGold and even tonight, I had to admit I can't do this. I just can't do this. It's terrible hockey without hope.

Yes, maybe this is as bad as it gets but this team is being under-utilized. As a Captain, Gio has said and accepted responsibility. I have not seen the new coach do this. He also needs to fire his friends in order to save his job for 10 more games. This coaching is not working for us at ALL.

I admire the way Calgary has tried to rebuild. I think it's honourable. But maybe you have to be shameless for a few years. Look at all the good teams in the NHL right now.

Washington - Ovechkin (1st), Backstrom (4th)
Pittsburgh - Crosby (1st), Malkin (2nd), Fleury (1st)
Chicago - Kane (1st), Toews (3rd)
Edmonton - McDavid (1st), Nugent-Hopkins (1st), Draisaitl (3rd)
Los Angeles - Doughty (2nd)
Tampa Bay - Stamkos (1st), Hedman (2nd), Droun (3rd)
Montreal - Price (5th), Galchenyuk (3rd)
Florida - Barkov (2nd), Ekblad (1st), Huberdeau (3rd)

Even the Leafs look totally different than last year with Matthews. Colorado is a wildcard but they've had a few good years with MacKinnon and Duchene. Same with the Islanders with Tavares. The reality is you don't get franchise players drafting 6th overall every year. You get good pieces, but it never gets you over the hump. Maybe the Flames need a few shameless years.

This hockey is unacceptable. Something has to happen. I don't care if it's firing Treliving, firing Gulutzan, or if it's trading Giordano (which by the way I'd 100% trade him this year or next, what an awful contract).

I will not spend another dime on Calgary Flames merchandise until this mess is fixed. My family has season tickets so I'm fortunate enough to go to games. I will not spend another dime on food. It's time to start protesting with my wallet. If this team doesn't want to show up, I don't want to give them money.

If we're going to lose, let's at least play entertaining hockey. Do the Flames have any of those events lined up where you can ask Burke questions? I'd love to go. He promised me more entertaining hockey. Instead I'm seeing boring uninspired bullcrap. It took us a month to score a powerplay goal at home for Pete's sake. Time to give Glen "I spend more time on my hair than I do doing my job" Gulutzan and Dave "I'm a total train wreck everywhere I go" Cameron the Barry Melrose treatment.

It is sad that when I click on "Standings" on NHL.com, I don't click on division, wildcard or even conference first to see how they are matching up. I have to select 'League', and scroll down right away. I don't even know who the first 3 or 4 teams are in the standings.

Glad I haven't watched even a minute of Flames hockey since mid October. I can safely say that I do not care anymore. I have lost all interest in hockey and the Flames. Never thought I'd say that. Perhaps it's just me getting older and having more priorities, but I couldn't care less if the Flames were to fold up shop right now.

Does anyone else think that Sam Bennett will never be an elite player? I know he's young, but I see no signs of eliteness.

Nope neither do I. I think he'll be a good 25 goal guy, but not elite.

I don't think the Flames have a single elite player outside of Gaudreau.

I think he'll be a good all-around second liner.

However I do think Tkachuk has elite potential

I think Tkachuk has flashes of a Lucic in him (Bruins Lucic, that is). He excites me with the tools he has.

I am underwhelmed by Bennett, simply because he is too inconsistent. Streaky players like him end up as middle six players usually. Don't know if he has the chops to be a regular center. Maybe ends up on the wing. Maybe he could be better there? Still a touch early though to say with any certainty,

Top team is Montreal...you know the one that Byron's on. (15 5 5 10 +7).

Jesus man, not even a quarter of the way into a bad season during a rebuild and you don't care if the flames leave town...?

Some serious fairweather fans on this site... Yikes
