Man I'm just livid every time I think about how bad a decision the coaching change was.

I'm sometimes a little too emotionally invested but for a team that's supposed to be on the upswing, this is absolutely unacceptable.

Stop sitting on your goddamn hands. There isn't a process here. It's a mistake. So do something about it. And while you're at it, put some actual effort into getting a new arena, too, you useless bag of incompetence (Ken King).

Can we fire Gulutzan yet? Seriously. GTFO.

Elliot looked like a world beater in the pre-season and has not looked great since. Granted the whole team blows chunks right now but I was hoping he'd be able to step in a steal games and that hasn't happened at all. Johnson has looked better IMO.

Way more questions than answers at this point. Hate to say it but barring a miraculous turnaround in the next 5 games, the season is over.

Well maybe comparing him to the best goalie on the planet is a part of your problem when dissecting this team.

An important note:

You often hear about losing being an important lesson in learning how to win. Maybe, but only if it's just missing out on the big prize.

Losing without a chance, out of playoffs by November, doesn't do that. This kind of losing snowballs. This kind of losing buries players. This kind of losing destroys futures.

They need to turn this around quick. There's a lot more losing coming if they don't

It makes too much sense. Everyone expects it.

Nobody expects that we'll keep Chaisson on the type line, and so that's how we'll catch the other team by surprise!

That would leave no one to play with Bennett. We need someone to fit on the top line I just don't see a replacement on the roster for Chiasson without sacrificing balance on another line.

Heck, watch any goalie in the league right now. Flames are getting their asses kicker at ALL positions, including goaltending. And it's not even close right now.

I'm waiting for the ownership group to start demanding accountability for our poor start. I have no doubt they expected this team to be a lot better than they are.

I'm buoyed by the fact that Glue Gun is clearly not the man to lead this team. He may have a good system and good coaching skills but it's obvious it isn't going to work with this team/core -- not with the way they are playing right now. You could put Ben Bishop in net and the results would be no different. What's most telling for me is that for a so-called development coach, the only guys that have really made strides this year are veterans like Backlund and Frolik (Kulak might be the exception but he was awful tonight). Time to wipe the slate clean before the season is completely down the toilet.

PS I'll take Lexi Strate over George Canyon next game as well.

Bennett should be a winger, he's lost defensively, and as a center so he can play with Backlund and Frolik.

Well, quite sure playoffs are out of reach now. It remains to be seen if we'll be able to use the remainder of this season to develop any type of playing identity.

As for the coaching staff, I think they're here for the whole season. Even if it's out of misplaced loyalty / stubbornness, Treliving must know that firing Gulutzan now would practically torpedo the man's career.

There isn't a tender in the league that compares to Price. He's in a league of his own.

We should ask Monahan to donate part of his fat salary to the food bank. Mr. Monahan has refused to show up game after game. What is wrong with him?
