The Oilers are starting to slide with something like 2 wins in their last 9.

Fact is that when you watch them this team will only go as far as Conner and Talbot are going to take them. The rest of their lineup has looked meh. Klefbom isn't looking like the sure fire number 1 defenseman that Oiler fans told us that he was. Draisatl has put up points but he's looking like the guy who played poorly in the last half of last year. RNH has looked good, but he's not a game changer.

The Oilers have faced very little adversity and their lack of organizational depth is going to get exposed. They remind me of the Greg Gilbert (funny his initials are GG) flames team that rode hot goaltending by Turek to an amazing start and then fell on their face.

The lack of good drafting by the Oilers will catch up with them and then really hurt them when they have to resign their uber stars to big contracts which means they will need cheap depth that they don't have.

But 6 Giordanos and Ron Maclean says that they would win the Cup! How can this be?

They've won the Cup. 4 Times. The DFL cup.

Lol, that's only one point better than us in our last nine (4-5-0).

The difference is that for us the Sky is falling, for the Oilers? This is just another day at the office.

my bad

they are 4-4-1 but my point still stands, they're winning on the back of 2 players, the rest haven't been all that good when I've watched them

That's pretty far off though for a 9 and 5 hockey team. What had you thinking 2 wins in 9 games? They'd be near the bottom of the NHL standings if that was the case.

The Oilers have won two of their last seven games played.

I saw something similar on FB, but with the Bruins. It needed a quick change, and voila:

That's what I read except I misunderstood it as 2-7, I'm a bad bad man.

Meh. The last 10 years of oilers "hockey" has hard wired you to expect a record like that from them. Not your fault man, not your fault.

I have been holding back too long now. This is childish, I fully admit, but every time I see this pic all I can think of is: "Who cut the cheese??".

Lucic looks pretty damn guilty and sort of like he is all clenched-up.

Bump for "look at McDavid speed by Fowler". Fowler cuts him off, takes the puck and goes up the ice to score.
