A rubber shovel,
wet paper plate,
glass nail,
card board hat,
3 leg chair,
Paint brush with the bristles removed...
are all more worthy coaching solutions then Gulutzan and Cameron.

I may be in the minority here, but I don't think Glen Gluten is the problem right now. Yes, the power play and penalty kill absolutely needs a lot of work. But I think it has a lot more to do with the poor structural decisions from the assistant coaches. Still, to me, the biggest issues that have been costing the team games has been the boneheaded penalties and bad turnovers. Not exactly something that Gulutzen can fix by coaching. Especially when it seems to be the same players who are constantly making the same mistakes. Seems more like a personnel issue to me. That right now, is on Treliving.

I'll give you Byron should not have been waived.
Yeah Colborne has been awful since his hatrick in his first game. 1 assist in 11 games. A complete non factor.

Christmas came early this year?

The whole coaching staff needs to go. All of it. Bring in an experienced guy and let him pick his staff. All of it.

We have the former Phoenix Coyotes assistant GM, Former Vancouver Canucks assistant coach and former Ottawa Senators head coach all on staff.... And we wonder why we suck so much.

It's already lost. The only thing left now is to work on improving for next season.

I'll take a victory on the snake-chart at this point. Hartley's team had a similar start last season and went 0.500 in the final 72 games. Let's see if Gulutzan's team can do better with 67 games left.

I guess this is now the coaching thread...
Given the nature of the coaching "search" last summer and how it all played out, I have been wondering if Treliving was expecting Tippett to become available, and if he is still wating on that situation...

I don't want a young coach trying to prove he can do it in the nhl.

I want a coach who will command immediate respect in the room given their experience in the league.

Treliving really screwed this up. What a waste of 2 years back to back with this franchise.

How many coaches did Darryl go through as GM? Wanting to fire the GM because of a bad coaching hiring is probably not something Calgary is interested in, unless of course Burke is getting the itch to do it again.

I do believe something has to be done, even when we are dominating a period it is barely watchable. It seems like the scoring chances are minimal with a plethora of low percentage shots. With our power play so poor, we should retaliate at every infraction so it's 4 on 4.
Going from Hartley's stretch pass, low shot with high shooting percentages to this drives the entertainment down quickly. I'm not sure I've sat through more than 3 full games this year, usually it seems like last game, good possession, lots of poor shots, no goals, then the other team scores on our mistakes.

Does firing Ole Billy Freckleface, solve anything?

The regression has been happening for the last 97 regular season games.

You can tell a lot about how a company is run at the top by how it performs at the bottom.

Let's be honest for once, this is a flawed roster despite some bright points it has not been put together cohesively.
statement of fact will not gain you a lot of fans on this board.

Last season wasn't a regression. The season before it was an over achievement.

Soo, who's available as a replacement? They definitely won't fire him if there aren't any viable options.

Can't get rid of Cameron as he would likely assume the head coaching position if Gulutzan doesn't last the season.

Let Gelinas do the job for now. He has been with the team long enough that he should know what the team needs in order to get going.

A replacement will become available sooner or later. A bad coach can do more damage than no coach at all.

The Coyotes organization has really latched on to the guy to the point I wonder if he just coaches there until he wants to retire.
