Bennett is totally shirking his responsibilities right now. Kid needs to smarten up.

He wasn't expecting the pinch because there was no reason to pinch there.
He's guilty of not adapting to cover, but if he's really not expecting the pinch, it might have taken a second to register his responsibility to cover.

People were right about Brodie passing better on his backhand.

I'm sure he can learn to count.
If you cant react quickly to things you dont expect to happen he wont be in the NHL very long

It's not the first time I've noticed this exact same thing. Meanwhile, Kulak on the whole has been incredibly responsible and has made great reads in nearly all his ice time. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to Kulak.
Bennett is too eager to add offense right now. He needs to play a complete game and not Baertschi things up for a bit.

Hrudey: Flames PK has been great tonight, in fact they've had the better chances. Lol

I'm not down on kulak. He's had a great game.
Just maybe a little over eager.
I agree Bennett has been pretty poor lately, but on that particular play, be just didn't recognize what the play was developing into.
In general, I'm starting to worry that his hockey iq might not be where we thought it was.

I'd be curious to know how much possession time the Flames have had in the offensive zone in the 3rd. Wasn't that going to be the staple of the team this year under the new coach? Better possession numbers? I don't see it.

TOI for the d-men:
Giordano: 20:40
Brodie: 19:48
Engelland: 19:13
Kulak: 17:49
Hamilton: 14:07
Jokipakka: 10:13
Kulak with significantly more ice time than Hamilton.

How crazy is it that they can zoom into the puck in the skates like that? I watch highlights of games from only 10 years ago and it looks like it was filmed on the 80s in comparison.
