Gio was under zero pressure, and showed exactly why our breakout is trash. Even this new and improved system seems to rely on forwards being way too far up the ice.
Bad hockey team is bad. Very bad.

The PP, Pk, systems..........who cares what they're doing if the guys on the ice aren't going all out, or when they are they having brain cramps.
No confidence, no intensity. This is a game they should win. Hope they get their act together in the 2nd, would like to see the guys going all out.

Getting rid of Hartley for Gulutzan is by far the most idiotic decision Treliving has made as GM.

I think the Flames might need to go on a Gulutzan-free diet soon.

First goal Bennett was too cute near the blue line. Second goal Bennett was floating behind Bennett.

Yup, I'm here as well and it is brutal, but can you flame us? This is straight ducking garbage hockey. Completely unwatchable junk. Time for Treliving to admit Gilutzan was a mistake and move on.

I agree. I just think it's funny how people see what they want to see. The Hamilton critics are going to think it was him no matter what.
But yeah, this team is just bad. No use getting upset anymore. The only annoying thing is wasting my night watching it. Only 68 more nights.

This. The kool aid on the broadcasts this year has been over the top, this is an awful hockey team.

The Dallas Stars have 3 good players in the lineup and we stink. I have tried staying optimistic but I am starting to break.

Hrudey knows the team blows, but he can't just outright say it on TV.

Yeah I can't believe I actually have had thoughts of how this season may have been better with Hartley behind the bench. At this point I'm positive the team would have had a better record with Hartley behind the bench. This is as rudderless a Flames team as we have seen post lockout.

This is game 15 for the Flames and they still look like a pre-season team at times. This is after several days off with lots of practice to boot. There is zero reason for them to be down to another struggling team 2-0 after 1 period.
I've been patient since I knew there would be an adjustment period, but I think they've adjusted by now. They just suck. It starts on the coach and it flow right on down. I don't think Gulutzan will last the full season. I'm just not seeing a winning team under his watch.

Not that we need to litigate this for the umpteenth time but Hartley had to go. It is looking increasingly likely that Gulutzan was the wrong replacement though.

Yeah and that's why I said I would hope so because he was the last man back when he lost it. All good, we are on the same page.
