I agree with your intent, but fyi Hamilton leads the defense with 6 points.

Unacceptable. It would be right up there with the diarrhea inducing Iginla "it's just not acceptable" rhetoric.

If we don't find a solution to someone to play with Sean and Johnny, would there not be any validity in trying something off the wall like giving Wideman a go on RW with them?

Offensive player that can shoot and had some PP chemistry with Johnny. Too slow to play D regularly but you could give him some PP time on the point as well. Ideally artificially inflate his numbers going to the trade deadline.

(This also assumes that you want the kids in the AHL to stay down and develop more before bringing them up.)

I guess the issue is that Wideman has never played forward. My guess is he'd be worse at it than he is at defense.

Probably because Engelland has by far been the best defenseman this season.

For those complaining and saying this team is the most boring and brings out apathy in them I wonder just where in the hell they were during the Young Guns era? It isn't that bad.

It was worse for sure. I think people are just having flashbacks.

the problem with this team is that most of it is actually looking really good on paper and still manages to disappoint fans on most nights. They should be better.

During the Young Guns era, expectations were low. We just hoped to compete, and never expected playoffs. Our team salary was half as much as Detroit, Toronto, New York, and Colorado's.

This roster has much higher expectations than any of those Young Guns teams did, and so it seems worse.

Dallas wins 5-1 with Seguin getting the hat trick.

Benn hasn't scored in 9 games?

Why can't our games ever just be on regular Sportsnet West anymore?

Because of the weird nature of SN's regional coverage/channels conflicting with the delivery of their national coverage. If a Flames regional game is on at the same time as something SN covers nationally (NFL, MLB/World Series, maybe NBA occasionally), then the Flames will get bumped to SNF.
