Do any Flames have personal coaches?
Found an article about Schiefele who appears to be moving up a tier based on his play and found that along with physical training with Gary Roberts Schiefele is also using Adam Oates as a personal coach.

“I want to be the guy that's leading the charge.”
Over the summer, if he wasn't with fitness guru Gary Roberts, Scheifele was learning on-ice tricks from former NHL star-turned personal coach Adam Oates.
“He's a big tool for me,” Scheifele said. “He's helped so many little parts of my game that go under the radar.”

An article on Oates indicates that he is personally coaching a lot of NHL players

Apparently Bryan Trottier and Theo Fluery are offering their services as personal coaches.
Are any Flames using a personal coach?

I'd be heavily cautious about using Theo as a personal coach. Regardless of all else that guy has an enraged persecution complex.
Theo (admirably) succeeded with his 'him against the world' mentality, but thats not a great mentality to breed on a team. Its not something that can be applied to just anyone.

Yeah I don't see his value as a coach. He was a very skilled guy that had a chip on his shoulder but he was far from the most committed player off the ice as he lived off his natural talent for the most part.

Theo was dedicated on and off the ice towards his NHL career. He put on 15-20 lbs of muscle after his rookie season. Theo was many things, but saying he wasn't committed to his career is not one of them.

Awesome thread idea. Please don't eff up the direction with debate on degrees of lameness of fleury.
Just repetitive work on board battles. Great skill to pick up. Its that ability to eye hand a bouncing puck. Which side of player to be on. Which way to go with it.
Doesnt everyone want to work with Roberts in summer. Is it an application process?

Muscle is one thing but for much of his career Theo's conditioning was not great and he didn't always come to camp ready to go.

Does it matter what sort of mess Fleury's personal life was/is in his ability to coach specific hockey skills....
Oates's role does not at all seem to be a life coach role; he is a hockey skills coach.
almost all teams have hired a goalie skill coach that works one on one with the goalies but not a skills coach.
Would it be worth-while for the Flames to hire Trottier as a personal face-off coach for Monahan and Bennett and give him an hour or so a week with these players?
I would think that Monahan pay checks are large enough to pay for this on his own? Maybe it already is happening.
With the accelerated rate that the Flames are moving to the NHL (Bennett, Monahan, Tkachuck) is there an assumption that their skill development was complete at age 18?
