*popcorn gif*

The last time I was this bewildered by a vote was when the Alberta PC party won a solid majority when they should have lost to the WRP that didn't want to denounce the racist bigot candidates.

For someone who objected to people using big words and complex analyses in political discussions, Calgaryblood sure seems really positive about his moral judgments of people he's never met.

Not sure about that, a lot of refineries were converted to heavy oil feedstock, I figure they'll just allow market to rule.

I think overall it shows a arrogance that maybe the voters didn't like.
I know the keepin it 1600 guys made fun of him for contesting Michigan and Wisconsin and Minnesota. So I think their lack of out reach to the unions got them.

Forgive my ignorance here, but in regards to the Keystone KL, what's in it for America? Why would they want to help us export our oil?

They've done a fantastic job of making us the pariah of the oil industry. Would be a shame to undo that, on their part.

Possible recounts in 5 states and the loser winning the popular vote is not a blowout.

Honestly man, I know people who are voting for Trump for the sole reason that he's not a Washington insider or a career politician. They hate that he's a pig, but they like that he's not going to be bought by Wall Street like every other politician.

There are definitely racists voting for him, and it's a large chunk, but he didn't win the election on solely on the votes of racists.

No, this guy:

If you aren't familiar with his somewhat unique prediction system, here are the basics: The keys to the White House, he says, are a set of 13 true/false statements. If six of them are false, the incumbent party loses the presidency. His system has correctly predicted the winner of the popular vote in every U.S. presidential election since 1984. Our first interview went into the keys more in-depth, and in September he said the keys were settled enough to make an official prediction of a Democratic loss and a Trump win.

There has always been women who have voted against there own interests. So yes. Though I was mostly talking about the main stream media not the voters.

Pennsylvania is now tied. This whole thing would be hilarious if it weren't so damn tragic and frightening.

Cheap oil for their refiners. More profit for the Exxons, Connaco, and Devons overall with their profits.

Trump is protectionist, a lot of the Republican Party is protectionist. They are going to favour American oil interests and also potentially even claw back trade agreements with Canada. I don't see this as a positive for keystone at all.
