Trump's mother was a Scottish immigrant, so even Tiffany wouldn't be able to vote under those conditions.

I wonder if there is any way to figure out how many people could actually vote under these conditions. Obviously it's a completely stupid idea, I'm just curious what percentage of Americans would qualify. 50%? 25%?

It's not even effective racism, given that it would prohibit Trump and his wife from voting. Swing and a miss.

Remember, tomorrow is the start of campaigning for 2020, it really never stops down there.

I'm so glad this ####ing gong show is over now. Now we just need to deal with recounts, but it's better than this horrid 18 months of campaign.

Although I am certain Clinton has more supporters, I feel that Trump supporters are a lot more intense and practically worship him.

It's clear over the last year that there are a lot of folks who've restrained their core views due to societal pressures and assumed shaming. You hear it from time to time from some people who claim that "people are over sensitive" these days, when accusations of hate and racism are heard.
Trump has shown them that it's "okay" and "acceptable" to have these thoughts, so they feel better about coming out, so to speak.
Really disappointing to be honest.

Waiting for Hillary to become president has become so anti climactic over the last year.

ugh... i cant sleep...
just knowing Trump has a possible chance at being at the helm of hundreds of nukes is literally keeping me up at night
The guy has such a knee jerk reaction to everything, it wouldn't be unlikely that he'll launch nukes at the middle east to "end this once and for all"

If it helps at all, the two-man rule requires any Trump nuclear orders to be confirmed by the Secretary of Defence. Given that whoever that is would likely not be a completely unhinged crazy person, one would hope that we as a planet would remain protected from Herr Donald's nuclear whims.
With that said, he'll win and name David Duke to the cabinet. So who even knows. I'm gonna grow marijuana and move to Canmore. Peace.

Our friend's fifth grade daughter had kid's come up to her saying "see you later, you are getting deported tomorrow!" yesterday. They are an eastern European family who's been here about 3 years.
It's such a terrible environment Trump created for purely his own selfish gain.

FINALLY! Ugh. Can't wait for this to be over. Mansbridge last night said something like the campaign started back in the summer of 2015, and Canada had a campaign and election in that time. Puts it into perspective.

I'm still not entirely sure if Trump created it, or if he just exploited it. Probably some of each. Either way, anything other than a huge Hillary victory will make today a very sad day for the U.S.

He's nurtured people's dark thoughts and made it ok to express them. I don't think the xenophobia and stupidity is going to disappear for a while.

As riveting a spectacle as US elections are, I don't think there is any question that we do elections much better in Canada. We have a discrete period, parties have a little more than a month to make their case to us (which should be plenty) and we don't do it every year.
