Kelly Hrudey
I am not sure if anyone picked up on it last night but Kelly Hrudey was asked something about what this coach is thinking and he had a weird look on his face and said a couple times he couldn't read him yet or something along those lines when he was asked. He looked real confused to the question too. Who knows what changes will be in the end by game time.

I saw that too. Seemed like he was basically saying he's not sure about some of the moves GG has made. He didn't say much but it was obvious what he was getting at.

A win tonight will make this season a success. After that, everything else is gravy.

They were asking about he would put in Johnson for the third and start Elliott tomorrow or the other way around. Kelly said he didn't know his preferences yet.

Jokipakka in for Grossmann. Shinkaruk in for injured Bouma. Johnson in net.

Now all that's left is for the Honda center to mysteriously add deep fried pickles to the menu

What a strange decision. Not for a normal, halfway intelligent hockey fan. A strange decision for the head coach the Calgary Flames.

I'm excited that Johnson is in net.
3-0 Flames, and CP explodes as the curse is broken.

The Flames seem to mysteriously play better when Johnson is in net. He is 2-1-1 after all. And it is the latter half of a back-to-back on the road, the first of which we got pwned in.

Jokipakka in for Grossman is an upgrade, Shinkaruk in for Bouma is probably an upgrade (the Bouma of old has not been apparent this year), Johnson in for Elliott may be on par. So there are reasons to be optimistic the team will be better than yesterday. But the way the team has looked so discombobulated and the Anaheim curse... this will be tough task, no question. If the Flames can pull this out they might just start believing in themselves and forming an identity. I'll say 4-3 OT win.

If I was a betting man I'd bet my house against the Flames.

About as good as one can hope for considering the circumstances. I'm betting on the Flames tonight.

Yup, and if they do win we can expect those pairings to be blown up next game because Gulutzan...

Its an unpopular opinion around here, but outside of last game I thought the Flames had been playing pretty good the past 6-7 games.
Every team will get blown out 5-0 now and again. Good feeling about tonight.

This is good. I wonder where Shink plays. Do we have updated forward lines yet?
