The funny thing is, every defenseman on L.A.'s roster is a natural puck mover, no "Grossmann" on their team.

We lost to them because they out chessmatched us with their brisk puck movement and perfect positioning without the puck, not because of aesthetics (RGI / Size)

Yeah. GLEN! It's your fault you can't get them ready!
You practice! You watch videos! You warm up!
There is so much more you can do!!!
We play amazing sometimes against VERY GOOD TEAMS.
Clearly not the system, Not the coach.
It's called top 6 players not playing hockey.
Damnit Glen!

Treliving will be reluctant to fire GG as GG is linked to him. if he admits the mistake, perhaps he gets axed too

So guess who played the most minutes on the Flames and ended up an even player tonight? Engelland did. Didn't notice him at all tonight despite playing so much. For a d-man that's a good thing.

Meh...Grossman got beat on the outside 3 times for 2 goals and a 3rd while he was on the ice later. That was the coaches call.

Do you find it odd that our top 6 players all forgot how to play hockey at the same time?

I was surprised to see that, too. Not surprised that he's playing well, but that he played so much. Probably necessary to make up for how poorly Grossman and Hamilton played.

Awful defensive pairings are on him

League worst special teams are on him

Every top player sucking at the same time is not coincidental

That is such a crazy thing to say 12 games into the season...

...but I kind of think you're right...

A positive and some observations from the game that are bound to get lost in the post game emotion:

1. Tkachuck drew 2 penalties without taking any.
2. Kulak and Eng. once again the best pairing stats wise.
3. PK was finally perfect for a game.

General Observations:
1. Dougie did not pass the puck to Grossman in the 3rd despite several opportunities.
2. The drop pass only works if you move the puck forward from the puck carrying defenseman and the team attacks with 5 players at full speed rather than lining up 4 at the opposition blue line. This was the first game where I have seen this executed properly at least once during a game.
3. A personal opinion only- I enjoyed watching losses under Hartley a lot more than this. At least the games were entertaining.

All is forgotten if we break the curse tomorrow...but man its going to be rough for this team coming home if they don't.

Except for that chicken wing he threw at Carter.

But point taken. He was noticeable, was working hard, and tried to mix things up.

^ often (on good teams) the drop pass allows you to switch side of attack when the opposition funnels you to their strong side.

If you are Wideman or Kevin, how do you feel about getting benched over Grossman over and over again...

In good news... Frattin (2), Mangiapane (2), Klimchuk, Angelidis, and Kylington with the goals.

4 PPGs too.
