really dumb question here... i'm really not that computer savvy..
but whats the deal with firefox?? its just pretty much a ripoff of internet explorer or something??

omg...it's like WAYYYYYYYYYYY better.
cause it doesn't get none of them viruses like dat ie craptacular POS.
in other words, FF pretty much pwnZ the show when it comes to browzerz.

Okay, I just can't post like that. I can feel my brain cells being mercilessly murdered.
Just do a CP search for Firefox, there's been a number of threads on it in the past.

try updating to the Beta version of Media Player 11. I reinstalled some microsoft product.. can't remember if it was IE or media player 10.. and it got really messed up .. i couldn't stream any media player content using any browser (IE or FireFox) and I couldn't even stream it directly using the open URL option.
I installed Media Player 11 and I can now stream using IE.. not firefox.. but i'll take what I can get. It the only way I can listen to the fan960 or watch higlights.

If you not planning on try any of the alternative browswers out there, and want to stay with MS, then IE7 is a very nice upgrade to IE6.
While IE7 is just catching up to FF and the other browsers, IE7 is a huge leap forward in MS thinking. It should one of the better browsers out there.

I've been reading where the IE7 team has been saying they fixed a lot of the CSS issues and now they are much more W3C compliant, but that this meant a number of IE6 hacks would now break.
How many websites do you guess are going to be 'broken' with IE7, Marc?

"A vulnerability has been discovered in Internet Explorer, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive information," Secunia said in an advisory on its website.
No repair is yet available for the flaw, which Secunia rated as "less critical" — the second-least-serious on the company's five-point threat-rating scale.

I would estimate it to be around 10-15%. As an example, I can't even "upgrade" to IE7 on my work computer because the website I use to send out press releases doesn't work with IE7.

What's really sad is that the same exploit exists in IE6. So they've had ages to fix it.
