It's the last great sports story yet to be written. I'm no Cubs fan but it be cool to see that fan base finally win a championship after so many years of heartbreak.
Great game tonight. Chapman was stellar. Having Schwarber back in the lineup will definitely help the Cubs.

Fox should be downright embrassed. Watching the game on FOX Seattle, cut to infomercial with two out, missed the final batter. Good lord FOX.

Ya, I saw some people on twitter complaining about that. The international broadcast on Sportsnet was actually about 10 seconds ahead of the Fox broadcast so I was watching over there.

I don't even understand why sports are on network television anymore.
Put it on a sports channel give us a tonne of post game coverage instead of ""thanks for watching, here is your local news".

What a start for the Cubs.
3-0 top of the 1st with the clock striking midnight for Tomlin finally.

Love it.

lol
Perez hits an RBI single to make it 9-3 in the bottom of the 9th with one out and then gets thrown out at 2nd for the 2nd out of the inning.
That's some genius base running right there.

Game 7 baby!
It's good to see the Indians and their fans sweat.
They've had way too much go their way this whole playoff so far. Lots of close games and they never should have been able to get within one win of the World Series with a 10-2 record. Sure they were playing good, but they weren't dominating and it's nice to see them brought back to earth a bit.

I guess the 42 inning game 7 that ends in a tie is going to happen.

Francona's obviously not going to do this, but am I totally crazy to think that the best strategy for Cleveland tonight would be to start Miller, pitch him for as long as possible, then bring in Allen and do the same, before using Kluber at the end of the game? I know Kluber was good on short rest in Game 4, but my concern if I'm Cleveland is that we get a retread of Game 6 where the starter going on short rest gets hit hard early, and the game is over before you can even go to your bullpen aces.

Kluber is a much better pitcher than Tomlin though. I do think the leash will be extremely short and we could see Miller within the first 3 innings, but Kluber has a much longer track record as a top quality pitcher than Tomlin does so he should definitely start. The more interesting question would be what happens if Cleveland has a 1-0 lead in the 5th/6th inning. Do you let Kluber go as long as he's winning, or do you turn it over to the bullpen?

Short rest is one thing but it will also be the 3rd time in 9 days that the Cubs will get to see Kluber's pitching.
1st inning will be key IMO - against both the Cubs and Jays Kluber has had the tendency to get hit in the first inning but has been able to get out of it with minimal damage.

Interestingly enough, Kluber actually might have the advantage for the third matchup, and based off this it might be a big advantage

I get that Charlie Sheen isn't exactly the most beloved brand, but sometimes you gotta turn the other cheek because things are awesome.

There's nothing better in sports than a game 7. This is going to be one hell of a game. All hands on deck and everyone should be available tonight. Maddon indicated that even Arrieta was good for 20 pitches.
Part of me want the Cubs to win but honestly, the Indians winning wouldn't be bad either. Both of these fan bases have been waiting so long to see their team win so regardless of the outcome, one city will be going nuts in about 7 hours.
