It's probably a hold in the first period. But probably an ok non call.
It wasn't a hold in any period. Wouldn't have even been a hold if you were Russian and playing in Sweden and the game was being reffed by two Russians.

Wasn't a hold in any league.

I don't think he grabbed him though. just put his arm in front to get position.

The Lightning did the same thing to the Islanders. Tampa Bay wins 6-1 and the Rangers 5-0.

It was too brief to be a hold. You just don't see those called very often at all.

Babcock is a great coach, has the Leafs working hard, and shut down McDavid. They will be a force a year or two down the road. They just need a fricking goalie, how bad can Anderssen get?

It's borderline to me...he uses his left hand to grab his shoulder when they are in the battle for the puck. But it's OT so I think it was a good non-call.

Also how does Kadri not have an "A" on his sweater? What a joke. The guy deserves it.

Andersen has been really good the last three games. Seems like he is turning it around.

I thought the only complaint could be goaltender interference. It was a clean out skill on McDavid to control the puck.

13,049 attendance in Ottawa. That's twice they've drawn poor crowds weeknights.

This could get ugly there. Some fickle fans in Ottawa.

Ottawa has always been a tough draw for fans. The majority of the population is split between being Toronto or Montreal fans and the remaining are a small bunch.

See also: Melnyk, Kanata. This year seems to be substantially worse than the past though.

First I hope Mcdonagh is ok, but I'll admit I laughed a bit when seeing this.

Seems like a hold to me. He was behind and grabbed him to propel him self forward. I can get the anger from McL. I'm ok with the no call though.

Putting your glove on someone isn't a hold, though. I get that he's upset, but the way he worded it sounds a bit whiny, imo.

Looked like Kadri was pushing past McDavid to me, not grabbing on.

That's a 50/50 puck battle. On no planet is that a hold
