I was watching the game at Roosevelt on 17th Ave and at the 12 minute mark of the 3rd when it was 1-1 they turned the damn game off for 2nd quarter of the GSW vs Portland NBA game!!! So it's safe to say we blame Roosevelt.

I wish I could comment on what happened afterwards but I couldn't watch the damn game, thanks Roosevelt!!

Honestly, I think Monahan and Gaudreau need to be benched for a game. Hell, sit Gio as well just to send a message. These guys need to start earning their massive salaries or this team will most certainly finish bottom 5 this year. Backlund's line can't carry the the team every single game. And fer f--- sakes, somebody please fix the damn PP.

No way. Johnny and Gio were equally bad.

The Flames were the better team for the majority of the game.

The lack of finish from the forwards is really hurting us and cost us the game. Gaudreau and Mony are still struggling and need to find their game asap.

A lot of slumping players at the moment that need to find their game. Elliott found his, and so will the rest - but time will run out soon enough.

One easy fix would be Gio and Brodie reigniting. It's the only major problem I have had Mackleconan this year. This was our sturdy top pairing and Brodie was a world beater on the right side. Just... put them back...?

I thought that was a darn good effort for 50 minutes. A bad call and a good pp goal by the Hawks Andy the Flames kind of fell apart. Gio had a rough last 5 minutes.

But I thought Brodie was way better tonight. I thought Gaudreau looked better. Monahan had a good game on the defensive side of the puck. Backlund and Frolik were good, Bennett had a strong game.

I know they were singing Tkachuk's praises but I thought he had a couple moments when he made the wrong choice and the puck went the other way (without consequence).

The flames played their best two periods of hockey this season.

Unfortunately, Gaudreau was MIA and this offence needs him to be productive.

He's my favourite player...but he's just doesn't look confident and at times he's either too gassed to give a second effort or he's simply gives up. I'm not sure which one it is, but I think it's likely the former.

Monahan has not been good either, but he needs JG to be JG for him to be successful offensively...and it just hasn't happened. Frustrating to watch.

Oh and hey, mind not pulling the goalie when a couple goals down or while shorthanded?

IT ISN'T WORKING.

No need to worsen the score for no damn reason.

Cool, thanks.

Started to wonder if Monahan, Gaudreau, Gio, and Brodie are protesting something with their play. Not much else explaining this right now.

Couldn't score a PP goal when it counted and ultimately the wheels fell off at the end. Pulling the goalie with 3 mins left when we didnt have the zone was a terrible call.

I am not sure where the accountability lies with the terrible special teams, but this was explicitly an area of focus for the team.

5v5 it was a decent game for the team, but as many have mentioned...until Johnny/ Monahan become a legitimate threat, this team is going to be in the running for a top 10 pick.

We need to trade for a competent scorer to play with Gaudreau and Monahan or we bring someone up but that option could cost us valuable time this season. Do we risk another down season or try to fix it? What part of the rebuild are we in.

A functional PP that is not a total momentum killer would be helpful. The 5on5 play through 40 was good. Gotta build on it. Shuffling lines for the California swing seems a must.

Gulutzan getting nothing out of his best players, no idea what his thinking is with the defense usage, and the special teams are horrendous. The broadcast can ease up on the moral victory kool aid as well...
