Happy birthday - It's my folks 58th wedding anniversary today, so I'll go with a 8-5 Flames win.

well, you could say they are due.
you could also say they are due to play a full 60 minutes. hell, 45 minutes would be nice.

They are due to blow out another team (I don't think they blew out SL).
They are due for a shutout win.
They are due for a win in Anaheim. This is the trip!

Good points. Hopefully there's more wins than just a 7-0 blowout in Anaheim.

But that is pretty darn exciting to have those three lads on the top unit!

Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik is the second line, and very much our best line. Splitting them up is a bigger issue.

Nothing wrong with Gully's method there IMO.
On the flip side, if you have an 'in-depth' chat with a player during every single one of his slumps, the player may tune you out.

Yup. And it wouldn't have made sense for GG to have a real meaningful meeting with Gaudreau on individual stuff until this point, or at least until he'd seen him play and practice for a while.
Doesn't mean he never sat down and discussed systems with Gaudreau before, but that's a different, less in depth convo.

Stuck at work tonight, again, will have to catch game on DVR and comment later...
The 'Hawks PK looked better vs. LA, but, the Kings were just listless in all facets of the game...
Anisimov/Panarin/Hossa have been clicking as a line...Toews/Panik/Kane is the only other threat.
Hopefully Forsling will return, tonight...Rozival was washed up 3 years ago, and ANY LW with moderate speed can walk right by the guy...he doesn't even belong in the press box, he belongs on the retired list.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Darling in net again tonight...but haven't heard anything, for sure.
Will be odd at the UC tonight...wouldn't be surprised if there are a significant number of no-shows, as the Cubs are trying to stave off elimination in Cleveland.
Good luck to your guys and you Flame fans...will catch you after the game, to comment.

I predict a 6-5 barn burner, with Calgary getting the better of Chicago. 6 different scorers for Calgary.

It will be a fun game to watch Tkachuk, as I am sure he knows what game nine means. He will have a lot to say about his potential to improve the team this year, good or bad.
As for the rest of the team constancy is key. It is not to late to find a rhythm.
For general interest here is the Flames record against the Blackhawks for the last three years.
2015/2016: 1-2-0
2014/2015: 1-2-0
2013/2014: 2-1-0
All Time: 75-82-26
Go Flames Go!

Yeah so everyone is bitching that people are bitching about jinxing the shutout.
Guess what? Flames have 0 shutouts.
Stop jinxing it.

If that's going to be the score, how about revenge for that awful game in '09 where Chicago came back from 5-0 to win 6-5! God that was a painful game to watch.

Aside some somebody potentially missing the game due to illness, don't expect the forward lines to change all that much.
