Dell has only played one game and looked fantastic, I don't think they are in a rush to give up an asset to fix something that isn't a problem.

Deep down he must hope that he can get out of Halaks contract. I suppose Halak can help someone out there, but at his price tag he has to be a starter. Off the top of my head I dont see a team needing that player.
So yeah, Berube would be the logical choice to waive/place on the block. But Im sure Snow would rather a tandem that costs what Berube/Greiss does than Halak/Greiss.

Don't think Walsh actually represents Wideman.
Octagon is a pretty big agency with many agents.
Walsh seems to specialize with Czech and Quebec born hockey players.

ya, that was silly of me. My memory isn't very good I guess. I thought it went on longer than this last year and caused issues in the crease? I guess I am wrong.

I get Snow not being happy but i hope he doesn't think that Greiss is going to be their starting goaltender for rest of season if they trade Halak. He is going to have to at least bring in another 1b goalie.

Okay...why is the agent flapping his yap? Halak has a contract and thats that isnt it? What part of this encourages involvement from the agent? Is he trying to tap his client up for his next contract?

remember the Drouin thing last year? That was Walsh too. Probably just a "difficult" agent to deal with.

So this guy is just a grade 'A' ass and he was worried that his reputation was getting soft?

Walsh is just a loud mouth that throws public tantrams whenever he doesn't get his way.
Here is a story from the 2014 CHL import draft:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpos...8&postcount=19
As an add on to that story Zacha did find a new agent before he signed with New Jersey.

While i don't like what Walsh does , last night Friedman on hockey night in canada said that Walsh does get players consent before doing these things. Players should get some blame also.

If thats the case I couldnt agree more, but my issue is:
If the players hate it they should tell the coach. The Coach tells the GM.
Maybe thats already happened and the GM ignored them, so the player goes around the system and gets his Agent to blast it out? If I'm the GM I ignore the agent.
I'd be dealing with agents in the appropriate time or place and thats it. And I'd put a lot more value on an agent coming to me and saying:
"Hey, this is how Jaro feels, he tells me that hes told the coach and I'm not sure the coach told you, but now I'm telling you because you need to know, can you tell me if you're going to do something about it? Because the next step sucks for everyone."

The job of an agent is looking out for the best interest of their client, it does not not begin and end with negotiating contracts. I'm not a fan of how Walsh runs his mouth, but if Halak feels the 3 goalie system is hurting his career, then it the job of the agent to intervene.

I think it was Kypreos that said "Do you think he does this without his clients knowing?" or something to that effect.

This is exactly what agents are for. They are the voice for the player to management. It keeps things professional between management and the employee.

I would assume that the Jets would take a serious look at Halak.

They already have Ondrej Pavelec buried on the farm and the two kids playing, why would they want Halak?

Because he's a better option than all three guys.
