I remember Backlund often being in the top 3 for hardest shot. That always surprised me

I can understand 2013 being cancelled because of the lockout, but you'd think they would have brought it back after that to showcase the young guys who have solid individual skills even when the team wasn't winning.
It looks like they're still looking for a sponsor for this year's event, so that's probably the big reason they haven't had it in recent years.

They had the Red's Rally (or whatever it was called) after the lockout instead. But that event was just more like a Flames practice with autograph sessions afterwards, with a 20-minute Burke talked crap session.
I remember on the first (and only one) I went to, I rushed out and fought people to buy a Monahan 3rd jersey, which was unveiled on that event...

I thought I remembered that. I think it was just hardest slapshot and fastest skater.
Funny - we'd be sending Wideman to the ASG.
