Flames to bring back SuperSkills Competition
One of my earliest memories of the Flames as a kid was going to the Saddledome to watch the Danone SuperSkills Competition. Matt Lombardi was always the fastest skater, Phaneuf had the hardest shot, I think Huselius won the breakaway contest one year... always so much fun.
And then it was gone.
Well, no more. It's baaaack!

I could've sworn that's what Caged Great said when he first met me, too.
I wasn't that young when I saw them for the first time... it was just under a decade ago, now.

Good - always loved the skills competition.
I really would love if the league would actually set this up so we saw the true fastest skater, hardest shot, accurate skater etc.
Have every team in the league hold their individual event prior to the all-star game, and then bring the top 5 from each conference to the actual all-star weekend event.
Would help to get more player names out there on top of just the normal stars.

Good. This was always fun. Brings back some member berries of the year Aucoin won hardest shot with a wooden stick and Huselius pulling the shootout move where he flipped the puck into the air and batted it in. Probably 2 of my favorite recent Flames.

haha yeah its all good. When I think of the players as a kid it was the Stanley cup team and guys like Phaneuf and Juice are recent players still in my mind.. Just cool to see the different perspective, but I graduated the same year Iginla broke into the league. When he retires them I am going to really feel it 
Hell I'm sure there are a enough guys on the board that I make feel old who have memories from the first years in the Corral. Great to think this board attracts fans from every demographic!

That's awesome that they're bringing it back, I don't even remember when/why they ended it in the first place!
I also remember watching Huselius during the shootout competition. That guy had some slick moves.
