Flames playing an absolutely perfect road game. I think what's most pleasing about this is that they've actually done it two games in a row now, so hopefully it's a sign that they're developing some consistency. Just need to get Gaudreau going and I think we'll have a pretty damn good team going forward. Poor kid is so snakebitten.

Blues fans booing 2 period on a back to back for the Flames after playing the Hawks the night before. Thats awesome.
We can finally start to see a real system in play, and the players are starting to buy into it. I counted one drop pass in the past two games. All plays in their own zone involve tight pressure and clogging up any chance for a deke, doing a quick pass using the boards as a safe play (no passes right in the middle) and a quick transition.
This was badly needed

The flames are playing great and I dont want to be negative AND he got a goal but holy hell Wideman is awful at anything other than shooting the puck
Just a total complete trainwreck defensively. He is so slow that by the time he gets to the puck all he can do is panic and serve it up right to a blues player every single time. Drives me absolutely insane

Looks good to me in the goal replays. He seems frustrated with the slow start, but that's to be expected.

I think it's well known that he's an offensive defenseman. Mistakes aee going to be made and he's not the only one who is making them.
