I didn't miss it, I didn't feel it was necessary to say "I'm only talking about Catholics" when I posted a link on a subject that literally refers only to Catholics.

Not that much anymore -- if I'm going to drink it's usually 3-4 drinks, maybe an extra 1 or 2 if I want to feel more of a buzz. That will only be once every 1 or 2 weeks. I like being able to go to bed basically sober though, can't deal with hangovers at all anymore (at 27 years old).

after this week I envy anyone that can bury themselves in the false comfort of either a bottle or a church.

Never on weekdays but I like to go out on weekends. Usually only once a weekend. I'll have north of 10 drinks in one night and that's it for the week. Not into smoking weed. Also hate drinking at hockey games. I end up missing most of the game using the washroom and I can't properly evaluate what's happening.

I only drink on special occasions. The last time was probably last Christmas. When I do it's usually no more than six if I'm out with friends at a bar or a couple if I'm just visiting with family.

Ready for a classic dad joke?
I never drink. I'll only drink if I'm alone or with someone.

3 beers on Saturday, 1 yesterday- but those were all 650ml bottles. About normal for me on the weekend- don't have a drop on weekdays. I try new beers as often as possible and typically buy individual bottles- never 6 or 12 packs of the same thing.
Really only have one of those never drinking again days once every year or two.

I get it if you do it once in a while but if you don't enjoy the drink, but rather want to be wasted, that's probably not the most healthy thing in the world. I'm not judging though.
|
Yeah nah, like many of your posts, it didn't come off as judging.
Also, anyone that smokes a joint must be an addict.

I used to drink upwards of 5-10 pints a day and 5-10 shots of whiskey a day (five days a week or more) at my former job.
Somehow I'm still alive, and maybe my liver is too. (for the time being)
Back to a reasonable 1-2 drinks every couple days now, but that was a crazy few years. While I definitely had a problem, it ended with my employment, so I guess I can say I'm not an alcoholic.
Being (semi-) functionally wasted most of the time is tiring!

A liver functuon test is usually part of the bloodwork done as part of an annual physical. Ask your doctor if youre not sure. Some people are lucky and have normal liver function after decades of drinking while others start having priblems earlier in life with even more moderate drinking.

I don't really plan when to drink, I just do if I'm out at a pub, catching a game with some buddies, or at a social event or family gathering. I'm Asian, so I know my lightweight limits, plus I get the full red face flustered look after one drink. So on most if not all occasions when I do have a drink, I limit myself to 1-2 max. Seems to work pretty well for me. I get to enjoy the taste of what I'm drinking, get the slight buzz of the alcohol, but it doesn't ruin my night (and the morning after) because of over indulgence.

1-3 servings when I consume and on average this occurs around 1-3 times a week.
1-2 times a month on average, one of those servings will upgrade to 5+ due to a party or holiday or something.
If I stick to all wine/beer/spirits, I'll be able to do ok. But if I consume combinations of the categories, bleh. I generally don't get hangovers and I really don't feel the need to drink till everything starts spinning and blurring.

Only if you smoke because you like the way it makes you feel. Personally, I just smoke for the flavor.
