Bring back Bob Hartley
Hey,
Is it too early to start with this? At least, this team was playing with a heart under Bob Hartley's wings even if things didn't work out. I would have no issues to see him coming back under the bench, I was never a fan of him getting fired in the first place. Unless they want to wait until it's too late to do something for this year and just watch the team not making the play off???

Calgarypuck's slow transformation into HFBoards continues.
The overreaction is real.

If we lose one or two more games, CP may implode altogether.
I'm not sure if Gulutzan is the solution, but it's pretty clear that Bob wasn't. Of the things that Brad Treliving is, impulsive isn't one of them, so I'm inclined to believe that there was a reason he was let go. Bob's structure-averse hockey that was fuelled by good player conditioning, pure motor, stretch passes, and D collapses already had our success being labelled as "unsustainable" the year before last, let alone last year when it was clear that most teams had scouted our gameplan and began exploiting those weaknesses accordingly. If he'd in fact "lost the room" as well, that would of course only compound these issues.

Fire Gulutzan, 1-4-1 with Brodie, Gio, Guadreau, and Monahan playing like garbage in or out of the "system."
Hire Hartley, who went 2-8-1 without a win in regulation while Brodie, Gio, Gaudreau, and Monahan were on their way to career years.
Checks out everyone, problem solved, #bringbackbob

Bob Hartley had no clue how to alter the game plan once teams figured out how to play us and I'm glad he's gone.

Yes lets make this organization the laughing stock of the league by rehiring a fired coach 5 games into the season.

And Gulutzan hasn't altered jack except for inserting pressbox players in here and there. Same garbage PP and PK every single game. Most undisciplined team in the league with virtually the same team as last year. Even worse goals allowed which is mind numbing consider the horrid goaltending we had last year.
They may had a bad start last year too, but you could still see them doing good things and could see hope. This year with all the games so far there's been no glimmer of better hockey aside from that 1 period vs Edmonton, and the one win was pretty lucky in OT.
Nothing suggests we're doing better under Gulutzan than under Bob. Oh except for that all important corsi numbers.

You're mocking Corsi, but 100% of your defence of last season's terrible start is "glimmers"?

Ok, so because Gulatzan is bad we should bring back another bad coach?
How about we hire a good coach instead

I never thought Bob should have been let go and always questioned the wisdom of hiring a guy who, after failing in Dallas, spent a few years "learning" under guys that Hartley had badly outcoached (baiting Tortorella into melting down their season in 13-14, then outmaneuvering Desjardins on the way to beating them in the playoffs in 14-15). Having said that, rehiring Hartley would make the team a laughing stock and is a completely ridiculous idea.
