This team looks like its their first day playing hockey.
Its like that Mighty Ducks montage where they learn to pass with eggs except you have to rewind the montage back to the beginning before they ever get any good.
I'm waiting for the 'Big Reveal' when we're told:
"Hey! You thought these guys were your Calgary Flames?!? (then they all rip off their rubber masks to show their hideous faces and disgusting teeth) No! These are just some guys we picked up at Cash Corner!!"
But somehow I'm thinking that this hope is likely misplaced.

Hiring Dave Cameron was a wierd move in the summer and it's showing to be a bad hire 5 games in. HE is responsible for this astonishingly bad PP that's now 0-17. No creativity, no motion and certainty no plan. I'm quite done with him being on the coaching staff.
Watching this team struggle in every facet to learn this system makes me consider that moving Tkachuk back to the O might be the thing to do. I don't think he's been out of place or anything, I just don't want him to be exposed to THIS as he's trying to learn the pro game.

Gulutzan and Cameron are the hockey version of the movie Dumb and Dumber, it so frustrated to watch them standing behind the bench looking like they have no idea what the team should do.

So otherwords Gulutzan is a opposition's slump buster.
14 years of Dome domination of the Canes until along comes Dallas Gilbert.

Gulutzan's shiney LA suit with silver tie gave me flashbacks of Jim Playfair...
Anyone else?

Can we get the Gelinas PP again? At least players kind of moved during that one. And I didn't rip out my hair when they go back to the drop pass on almost every drive up ice.

It's going to be a short season if this keeps up.

Geaudreau is the only player I see that still HATES losing, the rest of them seem to be getting used to the idea that playing average is ok.

Or move Gelinas back behind the bench and Cameron up to the press box and be that eyes in the sky?

Playfair never stood a chance on an Iginla veteran-laden team used to playing their way. Gulatzen still has a chance, but with all the individual play going on, it seems to me the players don't believe in the system.

All this focus on the coaches, but impossible to judge them until the players show up. Almost all our key players gave yet to show up, it's embarrassing.

We don't move the puck fast enough on the power play, far too much time thinking instead of reacting. Seems like I could block all their passes out there.
